Anyone who thinks they can intelligently and originally discuss what's going on in 3 or 4 sports is just a bulls*** artist. Or they are regurgitating someone's opinion.
    I disagree with this comment.

It applies to some, but not to all.

I feel VERY comfortbale that I can cohertently discuss the NFL, MLB, NBA, college football, and college basketball. I know zilch about the NHL.

I think Mike Greenberg is a "talking head" who is well versed in all the major sports-- Mike Wilbon as well.

Colin can be funny when he goes on rants. As for the media picking us low, can you blaime them? I hope the best for our team 16-0, but from a some what unbiased (no view is truely unbiased) view, we were 5-11 last year, didn't make that many moves (which personally I like). So I can easily see someone saying we'd be last in out conference. You really expect them to say we'll win the super bowl every year? Take it with a grain of salt and wait to see how the season plays out, it hasn't even started yet. Now if we are 5-0 and dissing us, then you can complain.

Cowherd follows whatever NFL sportswriters say on his show. This doesn't surprise me. This is the guy who says Art Monk was just a "compiler" and not worthy of a Hall of Fame nod. So if we do well next year then he'll change his tune.
I like his show even if he does say bonehead things. In this case I don't think he was wrong for saying what he said.
He's not an NFL analyst (he brags about how his show does not breakdown games) he just rehashes what the Lenny P types say anyway. We did suck last year guys.

Will just be that much sweeter when we roll to a 10-6 season and in the playoffs again...keep pouring it on so called pundits.

The only recent player from our D who ever had anything bad to say about anyone is going to be filling out his retirement papers any day now and have a failed restaurant a year or two from now.

No team in the NFL has a future HoF'er as a backup QB. That's why they're backups and not starters. I'd take Brunell in short periods over many backups.

Point is, don't listen if you don't like what he has to say.
Not when you're on the road.

Or do you even bother to read people's posts before you make these jerky comments?

We have no run defense either.

I hope we go 12-4......but you have to be realistic.
I dont "expect" anything from people nor am I surprised by their asessments. I'm merely pointing this out as a topic of disussion for the message board I tend to frequent, nothing more.

Why people think I'm surprised, excited, or anything else is beyond me.

He's a serious tool. He got pwned by Stink regarding Monk a while back. Cowturd has a thing against the Skins, don't know why. Oh yeah, I do know why. Cuz he's a serious tool.

Cowherd doesn't know football. I have more faith in him predicting the winner of next year's Boston Marathon.

I noticed he immediately went away from the topic afterward and did not take calls regarding this comment.
My girlfriend and I heard it on the way back home from C-ville this morning. I was heated when I heard that. They were commenting on predictions though so all they have to go from is last season, this is the NFL where anything can happen.

He said at least the Giants have Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning, that is where I knew he was an idiot.

As I much as I disagree with it, I think most "experts" and talking heads will pick us to finish last in the NFC East. Objectively, it makes sense -- unproven qb, a defense coming off a horrendous season, our 5-11 record last year. I mean, I get it.

But we all know the NFL is crazy. Anything can happen because there's just so much parity. If JC plays like we all hope and the defense plays just pretty well... well the sky's the limit.

This idiot isn't worth the gun-powder it would take to blow him away.

I have noticed though since Schlereth was in studio with him he has yet to even mention the name Art Monk.

Cowherd is a wannabe shock jock who thinks he is more significant than he is .

He has a downer on all NFCE teams though as he does not see them as blue collar and worthy of respect ... and yet he come accross as so stuck up his own ass it is unlistenable to trash radio . He doesn't have the balls to debate his oppinions and kisses the ass of any guests he has on the show .

He is also awfully fond of his crackerjack fact that ...hey fan comes from the word fannatic ...and no fannatic has anything interesting to say....but with out fans sports would be just a bunch of guys on a field and radio would be just noise ... which the Cowherd show is ...I stopped listening along time ago

If it came down to listen to this clown or Jim Rome...I think I would throw my radio out of the car.
