Looks like Reebok will be making a Charles Mann NFL Premier Throwback Jersey for 2007!
If I did not already have a Charles Mann Jersey I would order one.
Good to see Reebok make a Throwback Jersey of one of the Redskins Greats on and off the field!

in the catalog that came with the season tickets, it said this year's "throwback" players were Mann, Rypien, and Jacoby
More jerseys for my collection!Originally Posted by wpns3/5

Charles Mann was/is class. I am sorry we had to watch him finish with the 49ers.
He is very well spoken. He comes across as thoughtful, sincere and insightful. Does he do any television work? I mean, I am sure he does but I get limited access to the DC market down here in RIC.

He is frequently on the radio during the season. I'm pretty sure sportstalk 980 but i could be mistaken, he may have moved to XXX.Originally Posted by RFK Lives

Thanks Goulet. I will keep an ear out for him on 950 down here in RIC during the season.Originally Posted by RobertGoulet

I remember when he was a player thinking that he had a future as a broadcaster. He was so good in an interview. Then I heard him on WJFK when they had a sports show on the weekend in the late 90's and he was terrible. He went on to host the postgame show for a while and was still not very good.Originally Posted by RFK Lives
I don't think he has a steady TV or radio gig in the DC market as of right now.
This actually irritates me they consider these "throw-backs". To my knowledge, Mann or any others from the 80's era teams ever had sewn on letters. This kind of stuff really bugs. If you're going to do a throw-back...do it right.
''Once upon a time, a simply great core of fans. Sadly, Dan Snyder's lifeless mausoleum of greed has permanently softened the home field edge, and has also driven off five to ten percent of the base in disgust of his hyper-spending, meddling ways."
I see what you are saying, Reebok made Throwbacks Sonny Jurgensen, Joe Theisman, Dexter Manley and Doug Williams all with NFL Shields on the collars that were not on the jersey when those guys played. All except had press on numbers.Originally Posted by topdogbran
Charles did have the NFL Shield on his jersey when he played but not the sew on numbers.
Now Mitchell and Ness makes there throwback to the exact specifications on that era, but they are just to darn pricey.

Mann refuses to wear his Skins superbowl rings. I will never wear his jersey even though he was a great player for us
I'd be interested to know why he doesn't where the Superbowl rings. I had never heard that.
I actually talked to a guy in a Redskins store today. He said Monk and Green have not signed the requisite paperwork to have there jersey made. He speculated (I don't know if rightfully or not) that Monk refuses to have anything to do with the NFL based on "The Snub." How about that for a signature play Queen and ZZZZZZZZ?
This is the year of the Skins for the HOF though. I have a feeling. Green and Monk.
If that is the case I really can not blame the guy.Originally Posted by chiefwahoo56

I like to see Jacoby Throwback Jersey![]()
He was wearing his ring during the America's Game program and even stated that he was greatful for that ring because Mark Rypien was the one who got him that ring. I don't know about whether he wears the rings outside of that.
