    Default Orioles @ NYY

    Guthrie (7-4, 3.22 ERA) Vs. Wang (13-6, 3.94 ERA) 7:05

    Cabrera (8-12 5.14 ERA) Vs. Karstens (0-2 10.13 ERA) 7:05

    Bedard (12-4, 3.11 ERA) Vs. Hughes (2-1, 4.64 ERA) 1:05 Start

Out of the frying pan and into the fire, the Orioles took two of three from the MFRS and now take on the MFY's in New York.

The Orioles have won all four times Guthrie and Bedard have taken the mound, but lost both starts in which Cabrera pitched. Cabrera nearly no hit the Yankees last September in NY.

The Orioles are 6-3 against NY, winning all three series' so far.

That was then; this is now. The Yankees are red hot and have been since the All-Star break, losing ONE series since.

That series lost was to...The Baltimore Orioles.

So lets steal a few in NY like we did to Boston. Too bad they got rid of Proctor...

    Jeff Karstens... ouf.
...and I always wondered 'why can't he stay dead?' It doesn't change any good thing that he said. What matters is his life and not how he died. Why can't he just be a nice Jewish guy? - Tommy Womack

I like our odds in any series that Bedard gets the ball.

Orioles jump out 3-0 in the first. Roberts scored on a wild pitch, Tejada had an rbi single and Millar had a run scoring DP groundout.

Damon doubles and HE comes home on a wild pitch, then Abreu homers to center.

    3-2 after 1. Yeeesh.

I think he's going thru a tired arm period.

I wasn't able to bench him before the game. I tried to bench him at 7:04. This is like his 4th straight game he pitched terribly.

His velocity on his fastball is 91-92 instead of 96. I think he needs to be skipped or his side sessions tweaked.

Yeah, Guthrie has just looked a little too tired lately. While I hate seeing him struggle like he has lately, it's still good work for him long term. You are right that he should have 1 side session instead of 2 after this start.

6-5 in the 9th against Rivera. Here's hoping we get to him.
