Red Sox cut their game to 6-5 with a risp and Manny up...but lost.

So we got that going for us.... which is nice.

Crappy way to lose a game - NO WAY Rivera should have been in there. But, at least we didn't lose ground and we got some starts needed rest.
...and I always wondered 'why can't he stay dead?' It doesn't change any good thing that he said. What matters is his life and not how he died. Why can't he just be a nice Jewish guy? - Tommy Womack

I know you've seen more than I have of the Yanks, but Torre LOVES to bring in his closer for this situation, especially at home with his offense. Its something Francona was criticized for not doing against the O's in Bmore last weekend.

Back to the Duncan homer. It was a catch-22 situation for Trembs. If he goes to Bradford, then Giambi probably hits. Having Duncan hit over Giambi is they play, and Trembs should do it again.

    Having Baez close....that's another story.

Great way we came back today!! I feel bad for Bedard, that we keep losing games for him though..Bedard should have atleast 15 or 16 wins, he is the best or atleast top 2 or 3 pitcher in the AL.

8-4 Against the Yankees. 3 of the 4 losses were memorable.

Arod's walkoff dinger, he becomes a "True Yankee," or whatever that means.

The should have been rain shortened game.

Monday's chub and nubb walkoff for NY.

Actually, I owe Torre an apology. I was thinking Rivera pitched last night - but it was the first game of the series. But, yeah he does use Rivera in these situations and I'm not particularly fond of it.

That being said - there have been quite a few instances of going to the pen to early this year in my opinion. I'm not sure how much of that is Torre and how much is Guidry, but I hate it.

8-4, won every series. Played them twice when they were awful and twice when they were playing great.

After losing the lead in the 9th, you just gotta love how strongly we came back. Markakis slams a double, Tejada slams a double, then Huff with the kill shot.
