So who throws out the first ball Opening Game in 08?

Personally I think the President should always throw the throw out the first pitch of opening day for DC's team. DC has had a long tradition of Presidents throwing out the first pitch (see below)

GW has a pretty good arm (also see below) and wouldn't mind seeing him throw out the pitch during his last year as president.

I wouldn't count on Frank Robinson being a part of any Nationals activities for some time.

Frank lives by the feud and after 2006 has worked himself into a good lather about how the team has disrespected him.

The funny thing about that Nixon picture was most everyone in the stands was wearing a suit. Peole used to wear suits to games, not only baseball but football. Those days are long gone. If you're not wearing a jersey or some other team gear, you're weird.

yep, Fenty is a possibility, but if they get a National TV opener to show off the stadium then i would be very suprised if the President did not do it.

Please not Bush. There will be more booing than cheers. Let's not make the Nats first pitch in the new park a controversial moment. Have an old Senator, or an old timer affililated with Washington baseball in some other way do it: Frank Robinson is a solid choice.
