    Default Tax/W2 help

Just a question since I can't get any answers from my boss as he is out of town.
I recieved my W2 and the EIN (employer id #) is ommited from the form??? WTF???
However there is a state ein#, will that do even though the irs specifially asks for the ein# from column b, whereas my W2 starts at column c (employer name and adress)

The two EIN numbers are different. One for the federal government and one for the state. They are not interchangeable. You may be able to ask you business office for the correct federal number.

Thanks for responding. I am trying to get in touch with our accountants for that info right now......
Tried calling the IRS for that ........whoa...scary!!!!
I wouldn't suggest ever calling them for information. The lady I spoke with thought I wanted to file a complaint about my employer for a fraudulent W2!!!!!!!!!
