Default Think of this as the Scab Game

Think back to the strike-shortened season.
Or if you're too young to think back that far, then read about it.
Gibbs put together a scab team of rejects, ex-cons, criminals on weekend passes from jail, and walk-ons off the street, and against all odds, beat a Cowboys team who had several star players cross the pickett line, such as Tony Dorsett, Danny White, and Randy White It was an outright miracle.
Think of our scab players as Wade, Fabini, Prioleau, Caldwell, Leigh Torrence, Farris, etc.
And think of the Cowboy pickett-line crossers as Romo, Owens, Ware, etc.
Let's hold out hope for the Scab Bowl II !!!

HE didn't put them together. Gibbs did coach them up but he didn't pick the players. If that's what you mean.

I don't quite understand why we're short-changing ourselves so much.

Should we beat Dallas in Dallas? Nope.

But we're not a BAD team...we've had all but one team we've played dead to rights this season. We're an average football team. Some people on this board are acting like we're an expansion team playing against the 1985 Bears.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

We will win this game! Dallas is looking past us and we need this game. I think Gibbs will unleash JC and the WR's will play hard. KM has played well and ARE has also played very well. The question is whether GW will bring pressure with the defense or will he sit back in Tampa 2 all day and get picked apart. We need to be aggressive in all phases including special teams. Onside kicks, reverses, 4 and 2 and going for it, etc.

Well I like the fact that all the pressure is on them hey they are the big dogs they are suppose to smash us that's if they are truly a legit superbowl contender which I still have my doubts that they are . Just hope the Skins can come out and play loose let the chips fall where they may.

Dallas 10.5 point favorites going in. If the skins pull off a win it will be a miracle. But I think they at least keep it close.

I just hope that scab heals quickly and the 'boys don't pick at it, make it bleed and leave a scar.

Right, but if we're going to pretend, may as well pretend that to, right?

So the Skins are so bad in comparison to Dallas that they should be considered 'scabs'? Gibbs, Saunders, and a 1st round QB need to go in as 'scabs' against a first year coach, 1st year coordinator, and an undrafted QB?

    Man, times are hard.

Not that our team is bad, but how badly beat up and injured we are.

Since you do not list your age; do you remember the year of the scab strike?

    I do.............

    HOWEVER this is 2007

We are playing NOW a bunch of MEDIA hyped up - overpaid - ref bought - TEAM - millionaire Jerry lovin' pukes.

But an upset in Dallas - YES, it WILL happen Sunday - least we not forget, we scored last year with 00 time left on the clock. Never flew higher in my life........Taylor man, YOU are my hero - keep the crowd of 'Blondie and 'Skins IN THEM GAME......................

Now, all we need is the MEDIA men to respect OUR TEAM's TALENT - the refs to CALL a "fair" ball game...................and ladies and gentlemen - knock ROMO on his arse all day...................."watch" Whitten and air bound on his arse TO - and we will win.

I believe in this team, for "this the team that WANTS the win, will win"

I love your enthusiasm. What does your doctor subscribe to you?

You remind of the Saved By The Bell episode (yep I watched it ) when Jessie took those caffeine pills and was bouncing off the walls.

This team was pretty healthy in Week 1. They weren't exactly world-beaters. Injuries are just something that bad teams use as an excuse.

You weren't impressed by the way we annihilated the 0-9 Dolphins in week 1 ?

Yeah, but that Spurrier worked out great after his blowout debut.
