Default redskins 5 year rebuilding plan--super bowl in year 5

the way this season goes the skins at best can be 10-6 and be a six seat and lose the first round or the second round of the playoff, and with the highest paid coaching staff ever assembled and all the talents this team possess, this is not acceptable to the city and their loyal fans. Our last superbowl was in 91, and it has becoming more and more like a curse to watch this team play

that being said, the reality is that we'll be at least 5-10 years away from building a team that can be in the same category as the patroits and even the cowpukes which make me sick even mentioned their name. If you're a consultant to snyder, what kinda of rebuilding plan do you propose that will give us the best shot to build a superbowl caliber team. This include free agency and draft.

Comeon ppl, there are more brains on this board then our coaching staff combined.

It all starts with a great GM and a franchise QB. We definitely don't have the former, and despite Campbell's solid performance yesterday, I'm not convinced yet that we have the latter either.

"It is our true policy to steer clear of entangling alliances with any portion of the foreign world. The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible." George Washington.
"Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none." Thomas Jefferson.

We do. He improves with every start.

    1. Keep Campbell
    2. Draft a Stud WR
    3. focus on getting the BEST O-Linesman we can find to protect Campbell
    4. Keep the offensive scheme that we have had the past 2 weeks

A competent GM will be a start. The Skins have some young talent, but the focus is going to have to be rebuilding the lines. Skins are getting old and injuried up front and can't rely on them staying healthy.

With the Pats everyone talks about Brady, but look at their OL and DL. All drafted (Stephen Neal undrafted) and developed by them. Their DL is all 1st rd picks and they're nasty as hell.

The Packers also. They've done a great job stacking their lines with young talent after letting some of their older players (Grady Jackson, Marco Rivera, Jamie Wahle) walk.

A total franchise overhaul...which starts with Snyder handing the keys to a competent GM and COMPLETELY disappearing.

Until that happens, I'd be willing to bet that this team will continue to be mediocre with an occasional decent season, such as in '05.

I agree this team desperately needs a seasoned GM who can evaluate talent and who knows how to build a winner. We have wasted more money and draft choices on players who didn't pan out than any team in history. Yesterday showed another weakness which I have mentioned numerous times. We do not have a good man to man cover corner. When we sit back in zone, teams just destroy us. We also need a big WR who can separate himself from coverage. And we need better luck on the injury front.

Remove Snyder as owner in a coup.

This team has some really good young players: Taylor, Landry, Portis, McIntosh, Moss, Randle El, Campbell, Cooley, Carter. There is a good core but they need an O-lineman or two, a few D-lineman and need to stay healthy.

A start from scratch We definitely need an owner who Knows football, when you've got the head, the brain, the rest will fall into place.
