I'm not saying Doughty is gonna be a starter in the league but you can definitely see why he's starting and not PP.


he's never gonna be athletic as ST was and he's never gonna be as good in coverage,but I think he's a guy that will give it his all on every play and not make the same mental screw up twice.



that said for a guy in his 3rd start,he had 7 tackles and half a sack tonight.


I don't think he's a long term option,but I really hope he proves me wrong.

He seems like a steady type of player to me...He'll never be a guy that wows you, but he'll never be a guy that'll be totally embrassed out there either. He shows up, makes his tackles, then he goes home. You really can't hope for much better from a 6th round pick in his 2nd year out of a Division IAA school. Especially with some of the off field things he's had to deal with involving his young child. He's impressive to me...he's a good young guy...solid football player.
