He said, 'I am a Jew, so I know HOW INSANE THIS VIEWPOINT IS'. He is a Jew, according to your idea, he is going to hell for having HIS FAITH. How is it that he doesn't have a right to claim your view is insane? Or, any of the Christians who voted option B in the poll? I would bet, that SINCE you think they are going to HELL too, they would think you are a little loopy at least. Your statement, 'Don't give me that I am a Jew, so I know my stuff' (or something to that effect), CLEARLY shows disdain for him.Originally posted by skinsfan51
1. To regard or treat with haughty contempt; despise.
2. To consider or reject as beneath oneself.
As for my comments to Chopper Dave, if I had made those comments without reason they might have been unfounded and harsh. HOWEVER, they were necessary because he said something to the affect of (speaking about me), "I'm a Jew, so I know about his fanatical religious ideas." Wait!!! "I'm a Jew, so I know..."??? What? <p>
As for definition number 2.....
How can you not consider the 20 other people in the poll who voted AGAINST your idea, as beneath you? You went on about how if you are right, 'I am going to a lake of fire for ever.....the grave will not end it for me......etc., etc.' Pray tell how that does not embody the two definitions you gave of this word?
