Default The Redskins Movie Script for this season

This is the movie that is going to come out in 2030 about the Redskins awesome phenomal season.

First off, I'm thinking that Todd Collins is one of the central characters. His backstory is that his a perinall backup and an afterthought to the rest of the league. The movie protrays Collins as this awesome guy (he might be in real life, but I can't say, I don't know him), loves his family and loves the game of football but has just never gotten the opportunity to ever prove himself since his disasterous season with the Bills, which is mentioned numerous times in the movie (to show how awesome his comeback story is).

Gibbs is also a central character. He is a HOF that the whole town once loved but now some people are turning on him. It is shown that the media all around as said he is out of touch (movie reality here, people, not necessarly how it really is). There is alot of talk about Gibbs being washed up by media and fans but the audience knows that this guy has one more fight left in him. He is shown to be a really religious and extremely noble leader.

The other main character is Sean Taylor. He is shown in the movie to be former thug kind of guy that was into gang stuff in the past(movie reality again). The movie shows him changing now that his daughter is born and getting away from the gang members that are introduced as shady characters in the film.

Ok, now to the storyline (summarized): Redskins start off ok. They win early on but it is by a close margin so fans and media are still somewhat critical of the team. Collins is shown as being a mentor to Campbell and helping the young player along. The movie shows the players coming together trying to gel. Then, the Redskins start to stink. Movie shows all the discontent and junk like that. Minor charcter teammates are shown to be mad and the movie shows Joe trying to keep the ship from sinking ( even though we Redskins fans know that this team was never doing that). Then after a heartbreaking loss to Dallas (it was acutally Tampa, but for Hollywood the archrival is much better), Sean Taylor who as stated before is shown to be this redemptive character is shot and killed. Of course in the Hollywood version, it was a hit by his former gang friends.

The movie shows the Skins mourn and the funeral. Then the very next game Campbell is hurt by this awful injury that put him in a leg brace for the rest of the season. Then the movie begins to turn for the better. Collins comes in and whoops up on the team. There are scenes with his wife and the coach with Gibbs motivating Collins telling him to forget about 10 years ago (LOL). Gibbs also delievers like some awesome speech that everyone listens to and they then win 4 straight to make it to the playoffs (no one loss after ST death's because they breaks up the upbeat momentum). They then beat the Seahawks in like a 10 second shot. Then 10 minutes for the Dallas rematch. 10 seconds to beat Green Bay. Then the finale, Redskins vs. Patriots. Screen time showing analysts saying that the Pats are the best team in the history of football. Of course, the movie shows the game with Todd Collins throwing the game winning touchdown down by 6 points with the clock winding down to zero. There you guys go, the future Redskins movie. Hope you enjoy the preview read.

Snyder invested in a production company with Tom Cruise. The movie will be made far sooner than 2030.

    Joe Pesci as Dan Snyder

The surfer dude Sean Penn from Fast Times At Ridegmont High as Chris Cooley

A young Yoda from Episode 1 or 2 as Todd Collins (since he has fresh legs and all)

The Isrealites from the Old Testament as Redskin Fans...they complained and moaned and groaned all while they were being freed from slavery.

I think we're getting a little carried away but maybe it's because we don't want to face the prospect of getting beat yet that makes this fun to contemplate.

Trust me, if the Skins do win out, this WOULD be a movie. The one thing I'd hope is that they would treat audiences with a bit more respect. What's funny is that Gridiron Gang was far closer to the truth overall than most sports movies.

This story is real enough, we wouldn't need that much of a dramatic license.

In terms of someone who would be credible on some level for Sean Taylor. Probably Anthony Mackie (was Papa Doc in 8 Mile and he was in We Are Marshall.)

Or maybe one of the kids from the Wire as the movie wouldn't be out for some years.

Gibbs would be tough because he should be played be someone older but with the charisma to really pull it off. Usually, the people they have in coach roles don't really deliver on what you'd need to convey that level of leadership.

I think it would probably be someone who is middle-aged now (late) but would be old by then. Can't think of anyone off the top, though.

You will give the Redskins an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time you will help them accomplish wonders.
