Good showing by Cotto, Floyd's just at a different skill level.

Yeah Cotto put up a good fight. Definitely one of the better efforts I've seen against Mayweather.

Lol, wtf. Now my feed is a bunch of British dudes talking about the fight.

This Merchant/Floyd interview is too peaceful.

Larry Merchant is senile, probably forgot what happened before.

I'm glad I watched this fight. I've kinda put my love for boxing on the backburner for the past few years, for a number of reason, but this was definitely an exciting match that I almost didn't see. Props to Cotto for givng Floyd Hell, at least for a little while.

Lol, these British dudes use the Merchant post-fight interview, come back from it and the first thing they say, "I think Larry Merchant gets paid by the word."

"If you're the best, take the test" Is Floyd insinuating that Manny is still refusing to take random bloo/urine tests? If that's true it should cause some folks to take pause. Not saying Mayweather is necessarily telling the truth though.

Even though he loss, Cotto put to rest the notion that he's a shot fighter.

There are some good & winnable fights at 154 for him. He'll make a lot more money before he hangs them up.

All I know is, "Floyd Bled Tonight" and I strongly believe Pacquiao would get him. Cotto fought a good fight and I believe it was closer than the judges had it.

Eh.. i think Money was playing Cotto's game because he wanted to challenge himself and put on a show. If he wanted to, he could have stayed in the center of the ring and just picked him apart the entire night.

We'll grind that axe, for a long time!

Cotto has a jab, Manny does not.

Cotto is bigger than Floyd, Manny is not.

Cotto was at his natural weight versus Floyd, not weight drained. Manny forced Cotto to fight for the Cotto for the 147 belt at 144.

I was really disappointed with Cotto not doing a post fight interview tho. Low of him.

I have a feeling this was true too, but I will still give Cotto a lot of credit for accepting that.

Floyd went to the ropes versus Ortiz, and Ortiz maybe landed 9 punches that whole fight

Thats probably the best fight that can be made at 154, but I don't see Cotto taking that risk against someone who still doesn't sell many tickets or move the needle.

Cotto is essentially about to go paycheck hunting, there are other options at 154 without the risk that will land him a bigger payday. A fight with Canelo would be pretty big.

Golden Boy announced after the fight that Canelo will be headlining a PPV on September 15th, I doubt thats Cotto.

(I am still not convinced by Canelo, even though he destroyed a completely shot Mosley. He had Mosley looking like this but I still feel Canelo has a lot of holes in his defense and has a conditioning problem he needs to work on)

Cotto vs. Martinez would be a money maker, imo.
