Czaban's Big HC Conspiracy Theory

I was listening, nothing better going on, to him on the radio (980-DC) this morning and he was emphatic that Cowher would be hired.

Cited for these reasons:

• The way Gibbs came out of no where 4 years ago
• Interviews are taking place at his house to avoid the media
• Snyder's response to the question (press conference) about contacting Cowher and how they hadn't talked in 6 years. That Snyder didn't say "I don't think he has intentions to coach this year" or something like that.
• Cowher not coming out and specifically saying that he isn't interested in the Skins HC job

Said he would pull out all these famous endzone dances if he's right. What a tool!

Other folks on the show think he's reading to much in to the whole thing.

This just in...Czabe is a dick. However, you never know what will happen with this team. If Czabe is right, it won't be because he is smart, it will be because he just guessed right.

You never know with Snyder. I think it is interesting that the Cowher discussions went away. I just can't imagine Dan letting Cowher decline that easy. It wouldn't surprise me.

You should have heard him and Andy on the Sports Reporters last night! Barry Svurluga had to set them staright. Andy actually said the Bugel Breaux, Burns, and Simmons were staying on to coach next year because they were too old and no one else would hire them and that they would force a firing so they can get paid. Yeah, like Bugel is strapped for cash and has nothing better to do, like spending time with his sick daughter in AZ, that he is clinging to coaching the OL.

He was speaking the same stuff last night. Basing it off Cowher not denying interest on the CBS pre-game shows and Danny's previous hiring practices. They actually said that Cowher was a more likely candidate than GW.

They have to create controversy. Plus, Andy is still pissed that 980 ain't the official station of the Skins anymore. He has been the epitome of negativity towards the Skins for years, but that vitriol that he has shown the last 2 years is above and beyond his norm.

Czabe has one Godzilla sized flaw in his arguement (okay there are many but this is the biggest one that will prevent his dancing and "I told ya so")

Bill Cowher will not come here and coach for the same reason that Jimmy Johnson won't ever be here...Johnson won't come here because of what Snyder did to Norv...Bill Cowher will never be here because of what Snyder did to his good friend and mentor: Marty Schottenheimer.

It'll be by the end of this week (IMO) that Gregg Williams is announced as the Head-Coach of the Washington Redskins.

Well, the last 3 coaches we've had have said themselves that A) They're not interested in coaching for Snyder, B)they're not interested in coaching in the NFL and C) They're not interested in coming out of retirement. The word NEVER was liberally thrown around in most instances, so to be honest with you, I wouldn't rule Cowher out either.

I will say that it is very suspecious the way Snyder has conducted the interviews. Also note that he interviewed a coach on Friday that remains nameless. I still think the job goes to williams. But wouldnt be suprised to see cowher.

Well...Norv had it coming. He had been here for 7 years and didn't have a whole lot to show for it...he was here well past the expiration date. The split between Snyder and Schotty was amicable, and IIRC they're on speaking terms. When Marty had cancer, Snyder gave him advice and recommended a Doctor.

I'm starting to see a trend, when the redskins make the boring, no big deal signings in free agency they have a winning record. When they bring in high priced big name players they have a lossing season. Maybe they should apply that to the coaching search. Stay with williams and make the smart choice and win instead of the big name that will break the team up and end up with a bad season.
