scoring = I think we have the foundation but stuff such as K scoring, IDP scoring, etc. hasn't been nailed down.
Hmmm okay, then let me propose that we have 3IDP players and one D/ST.

For scoring (for both IDP and D/ST)
1 point per 30 return yards
2 points per INT or fumble recovered
0.5 point per tackle (assisted or solo, they both have the same value)
1 point per sack (half sacks would obviously be 0.5 points)
    6 points per TD
**note I didn't include points for a fumble forced because in my previous posts I did not take away points for fumbles that were recovered by the fumbling team (only fumbles lost were penalized, so only fumbles recovered should be rewarded)
3 points for a blocked kick (since they are so rare)

    Kickers
5 points for 50+ yard FG
4 points for 40-49 yard FG
3 points for 39 yards and closer
-1 points for missing 30 yards and closer
    1 point per PAT
    -1 point for missing PAT
**I didn't penalize kickers that much for missing since in real life you aren't penalized that much for missing a chip shot, and the other team usually doesn't even get that great of field position

I agree with all of this as well...

The only thing that I vote again for is that we have a playoff system that everyone plays the entire year...

I mean if I dont make the top 4 teams (unlikely ) I would like to at least play the year through and this will also determine the draft order-which I vote for as well... final standings determine draft order.....

I swear when I posted that there wasn't a chat room for this thread...

Anyways, I still think we should set a time to all hit the chatroom.

i like the idea of all teams getting to play through the end of the year. so i'm down with the consolation bracket and the scrubs bracket. and i also think our finish at the end of the year should determine our draft pick position the next season. oh and if anyone wants to chat about this stuff, i'm down to get in on a chat if it draws interest.

that might be a better selling point. regular season standing determine draft order. but everyone still gets to play through the playoff in the consolation brackets. i thought the people who wanted only playoff teams playing talked about how if everyone played it would affect the draft order.

Well, what would be so different about the draft order if everyone played in separate brackets? For instance, in the three-bracket system that Phoward12 proposed, each team could only possibly move a maximum of 4 spots. For example, the best team in the regular season would obviously be in the championship bracket. Thus, even if he lost his first game in the bracket, then he would be ninth in the following year's draft. If he won the bracket, he would get the 12th position. So it really wouldn't affect positioning that much. The best four teams would get positions 9 through 12, the middle four teams would get positions 5 through 8, and the worst four teams would get positions 1 through 4.

three bracket system, not so much movement. i havent played a three bracket playoff. i did a two bracket i think in espn. the only league i didnt play in the championship game this year. i was the 7th seed. i think. got screwed by people resting their starters the last two weeks. and by homo not playing. so i lost the two week first round then the two week second round. and ended up 12th. so if that had been a dynasty. i would have gone from a midround pick to the top pick. and i wouldnt have liked that. id rather have the middle pick each round than the first in one and the last in the other.

but youre right, 3 brackets, not so much drop. 3 places at most.

I'm around, just in a tough stretch at work, and I have a lot of homework for grad school, which I'm going to at night. I'm not going to be able to post entire sections of rule proposals on a nightly basis.

I'll try to get another batch up this weekend. In the meantime, I don't think we've had enough votes on the second set posted earlier this week.

Also, I only have three e-mail addresses out of 11 from all of you. I have actually received five, but I accidentally cleaned out my PM box before I had recorded two of them. I'm in a computer lab before class right now, so I don't have my records on me, but I know I have Chuong's for sure. Everyone else, please either PM them to me for the first time, or send them to me again.

    Thanks
    Phoward12

"I don't think we've had enough votes on the second set posted earlier this week."

let's keep moving forward. everyone knows that we're trying to set this thing up. either be a part of the process or no bitching at the end.

" I only have three e-mail addresses out of 11 from all of you. I have actually received five,"

b/c I'm an impatient idget, and I have no idea what pick I would prefer to draft from but I'd like to have at least a month to hose myself with screwed up draft pick trades, if nobody has any serious heartburn, I'd like to go ahead and run the randomizer on Monday. I'll put the names in the program in the same order as they are in the pinned thread.

No e-mails = no automatic e-mail notification but I'll post the results here Monday.

" I'm not going to be able to post entire sections of rule proposals on a nightly basis"

for shame. FF in Feb. is not your highest priority?

thanks MCM @NFLFever2 for the sig

I'm down with you starting the randomizer. I would love to know my position, and we can just post the results in the sticky thread.

Edit: Why don't we just do it now, so I have something to think about on the weekend ?
