Here's my one question...sponsoring new folks is nice and all, but didn't we have a list of folks who didn't get into the league quickly enough when we first created it? I'd swear we had a wait list of people who are already ES members.

hmm, you may be right. should we check the beginning of our threads. and if there were, and we find out who they were, nothing against your friends or anything that you say would be good, but the other guys who were late should be given a team first, considering they tried to join way earlier than these other 2 candidates.

Now I don't recognize many of those names, except for TMAT, he's been around awhile. So checking their last login days....

3 of the 8 are legitimately gone and can be removed, but there are still 5 active names, 4 of whom have logged on this month, that got on the list last year. I think we need to contact them before inviting friends. This is supposed to be an ES league, remember.

since P did all the work to dig up the old list, i say that offering those guys a shot at a team is good policy. we should offer those guys a spot before friends who sign up for ES just to do this league.

i think the only reason that list wasn't considered before, was because no one wanted to go find it, and because it was just assumed that since that list is over a year old, it may not be the best way to get new members.

but i like using the original list since 4 of those people have been on the board in May.

Thats fine...but I don't want to just invite anyone thats willing to join. I'd like to add two really competitive members...(if we end up replacing those two owners)

(No offense, king ) it's blatantly obvious that King & Chuong don't really fit in the with rest of the league members. I'm not suggesting (at all) that King shouldn't be part of this league.....

All I'm saying is that since this league isn't for money, I think we should make it as competitive as possible.

id say to use the list first. see how many are still interested. i know one or two said last year to let them know this year if anything opened up. but dont know if they are the still active ones or not. then see how many of that list are interested. and maybe then include the two that were already being talked about the other week.

Hello All.

My name is Colin Dunphy and I am Saleem's friend (twenty-eight). He has been telling me about this league forever and I must say the opportunity to join has got me excited.

First off, let me explain that I have read some of the recent posts regarding the search for new league members and I do not envy your position. It seems that in every league, every year, there is change over. All too often it is predictable who will leave. Its simple, people who do not have the desire to play fantasy football seriously end up being taken advantage of, and their team pays the price. The league suffers too because the balance of power becomes lobsided. The fact that this is a dynasty league only pronounces these deficits that much more because there isnt a do-over every year.

From an outsider's POV, I believe that this is the one of the best assets I can offer.

Simply put, you will not have to worry about replacing me next year, nor will my team be the laughing stock of the league. I will make aggressive moves through trades, FA, and the draft and make the league more exciting in the process, while talking **** all way (respectfully of course, not a dick about it).

I believe it goes without saying that I am a die hard skins fan, so hopefully you can take me on my word or just ask Saleem. But if not, you might want to know that I have won three championships in my career while playing in two leagues for 8 years now, totaling around 2000$ in winnings. (Actually, whenever I win, I buy myself a nice watch and get my team name and league year engraved on the back. I think of it as a portable trophy that I can use to talk **** when around league members.)

Anyways, I thank you guys for your consideration and I look forward to making this an even better league, in the name of Gibbs.

whoever found the waitng list, contact the shmoes on that thing. You're going to end up with more than 2 there. Add the 2 "friends" that we have from beegees and 28. Throw them in a damn hat, vote on them, get them together and have a frigging **** fight for all I care, just quit clucking around like a bunch of bitches and do something. <rant off>
