worst-to-first vs. blind bidding, the argument for the ages makes it's way to ES, lol next up, "victory points vs. h2h"......

if we went to MFL (myfantasyleague) they act as the "third party" for bbid transactions. (that's not a suggestion/request b/c MFL charges to host the league and I don't want to do that for a free league)

But actually, thinking out loud, bbid is pretty common, wonder if FF supports it? If FF supported it, I may be more inclined to entertain the idea.

Just a thought: I really like the auction system, especially for the opening of FA. I wouldn't mind it as a part of the waiver system during the season, but we did have a big discussion on how to achieve some parity in this league, and I think we determined that having the person with the worst record get top priority each week would be the best way to do that.

In any case, I think the auction system is a great way to level the playing field for everyone, especially at the opening of FA. Like I said before, I got nearly every person I wanted when we opened FA last year, and I still think the feeding frenzy way is a (very) flawed system.

Take it and run. Bolid's always been somewhat injury prone. I think this is a win all around.

LOL, im glad its not us this year too.

Considering he's going to be a starting QB, and King doesnt have one, its obvious that Favre has too much value to be on the FA. He immediately has trade value once picked up. When the frenzy starts, whoever gets lucky enough, gets alot more value than anyone else, and what is it based on? Pure BS? Why not make this apart of the game and have more fun doing it via the blind bid system?

    as far as your points.

    1. as i said before, go through it before you decide its not fair. maybe you will end up with all the guys you want cuz no one else wants them.

    2. it says in the rules that they are supposed to be doled out by record, but that wasnt the case last year cuz everyone was hectic getting crap set up so i never changed the waiver settings. so for the whole season waivers wasnt decided on by record it was based on if you make a waiver claim, then you go to the back of the line. so if i have the 1st spot or the 6th spot, i make a claim and after its processed, i have the 12th spot. and i stay there until someone else makes a claim, then they have the 12th spot, and i move up to the 11th spot.
What players are placed on waivers during the regular season? Only those that are dropped or are all players locked every week, and then those are placed on waivers every week?

I believe the rules are unclear in regards to this.

have the bbid system for the intitial opening of F/A and then transistion to w2f for the regular season.

you only need to keep track of the "money" for the pre-season. that way when some jackass coach gets his RB broke in pre-season wk3, it's not the first shmope to his crackberry to get the replacement

I'm leaning towards Kur right now (shocker there right?), try the "frenzy", see how it affects your long term squad. I know it seems like it could be a major factor but I can't recall any heartburn and if anyone would have expressed any, Lord knows, it would have been someone from my ownership group.

I can see us addressing the issue as a future improvement but some of these guys are still trying to figure out the draft and practice squad stuff. **coughkingcough**

I believe all players are locked once the first kickoff of the week takes place.

Waivers are then opened up after the Monday night game. Each owner has the ability to put in a ww request based on w2f standing. Then, in mid-week (I don't remember what day) the ww players are doled out. Once waivers have been processed, all non-rostered players become free agents.

eh, not sure why Nut would feel compelled to do that trade......

he got a headcase, a wood chip, a throw away pick and girlfriend that's either knocked up or a dude for a top 5 rcvr

you, on the other hand, gave away any semblance of depth and you'll be bitching and whining again this year when your "awesome" starting lineup is in a frigging shambles

your season hinges on Brown's success...George Allen would be ashamed of you

Depth be damned! I'm going for broke. And you're right...my flex is Hines Ward if Donald Brown doesn't do well. But if he does, you guys better watch out.

    Wowzers.

    Alright. My two cents:

As i've said before, I'd like a free agent draft to open the season.

As far as the bidding waiver system, I don't really have a problem with it. I also don't have an issue with the way this was done last season....So whatever the majority agrees on is fine with me. The only thing I DON'T want is this league to be divided on this issue. It sounds cool and could be fun but lets all relax. I don't really think it's a big deal one way or another.

and tdr, shut the **** up. Your team ****ing sucks, everybody knows it. Nobody cares about the moves you make/made. Your team is some ****
