If you ever do win the title, I expect that you will stand on the podium and thank me for building your team for you...Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson...

    You are welcome.

Damn new guys....come into the league and not even 30 days later are trying to change it up

you, on the other hand, gave away any semblance of depth and you'll be bitching and whining again this year when your "awesome" starting lineup is in a frigging shambles

your season hinges on Brown's success...George Allen would be ashamed of you

Eh, I could have gone either way on this trade. I actually said no when TDR first proposed it, but then went back and said yes after thinking about it for a couple of days.

Andre is a beast and I loved having him on my team. But even when I drafted him I was afraid of his injury-prone nature. Fortunately for me, he made it through last season just fine. If the Texans had a decent QB, I would never even consider this trade, but a lot of AJ's success will depend on Schaub. And he's average at best.

In return I do get a head case in Marshall, but I figure if he stays in Denver that McDaniel will attempt to employ a similar offense to the Pats with Marshall being the "Moss". Granted, with Orton at QB he will not see the same balls that Moss would, but it was worth the gamble. And if he does get traded, maybe it will be to a pass-happy offense???

That little booger Washington puts up some points, so he is a nice addition and gives me some much needed depth. And then the 2nd rd pick...believe it or not, I do plan on following college football this year and attempting to improve my team in future years. So now I have 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders for 2010.

Haha, just like twenty-eight thanked me for providing him with a +30 edge in his championship game.

Oh btw, I was looking at your original drafted team...you had Andre Johnson, Michael Turner, and Adrian Peterson. Not saying anything one way or another, but it's just funny how different everyone's squad is from their originally drafted one.

Hhahah.... yeah, i've probably hurt my options for trading partners in the future, so that sucks. I don't mean to come across as a prick, but i sincerely believe that this is a better system, FOR ALL.

Sure, it looks bad because I do have players picked out that I really want, but I don't think this is a bad thing. Shouldn't we all? I mean, the system is fair. No one, including me is going to have an unfair advantage to anyone. If you have players that you identify as being worth a bid, you can take advantage and get that person using this system. Anyone can do that, and I believe, everyone should be thrilled with this option.

To be completely honest, Im not that high on Favre. Even in the bidding system, I wouldn't expect to get him. I do believe, though, that he is a good example of a player that enters FA with a low value, and then after he is locked, something happens causing his value to significantly increase (ie, getting signed to a team, but other examples are injuries). When this player is then available to be picked up again, the team with the rights to him as determined through record has a huge advantage in obtaining that player. Parity is encouraged yes, but at what cost? I would prefer the power to improve my team as I see fit over parity but that is me.

With all this said, there probably isn't much more I can do to lobby for this.

So, I should leave it with this.

I think that something should be done about the feeding frenzy, whether the bidding system is the answer or not. If people are concerned that I want to switch to the bidding system this year, because I have players in mind already, I will suggest we place this proposal on docket for next year's ratification, because i truely believe it is a better, more fair, and more fun system.

I do enjoy this league, alot, which is why im pouring so much time into it. I do not want to jeopardize the fun that we have here with my pushing for this so, I agree with Saleem, in that I dont want to split the league. So if anyone will threaten to quit the league because of this, I will w/d the proposal. If it can make it to a vote, that's cool too.

I understand your point CCFF. Like I said, we have that setup in my money league.

But in this league, everyone who is worth anything is already drafted. I don't recall any feeding frenzies last year. It was more like, "oh, TDR got Chansi Stuckey...damn...guess I'll just move down to the next guy on the list".

Take a look at the FA list now and show me one "stud"...

I do regret trading away Turner more than AP believe it or not. I traded him before the draft was even over so I never knew what he would do...but holy crap if I could have had Turner, AP and Johnson...

If I suck for the next 10 years I have no one to blame but myself...

I seriously doubt you'll suck considering how many draft picks you're going to have (and how many good, young pieces you have).

BTW CCFF, I'm fully behind this auction system. I was thinking about it, and it makes a lot of sense. I don't mind going with a feeding frenzy this year and putting it as something to be talked about next year, but I'll say I think it's a much superior system, at least for the opening of FA, if not all of FA/waivers.

HAHAHA. You finished 2nd to last....to KING! You were only two games better than him. For me to be jealous i'd actually have to notice your team. You're nothing but a bottom dweller.

And don't think of it as venom...it's just the truth

Exactly--that was my point. Four people said "damn, I wanted jacoby jones too!!" Haha I doubt anyone wants him now.

"yeah, i've probably hurt my options for trading partners in the future"

unless I missed something, I seriously doubt it. Kur and my brother have had some epic rounds but when it comes to trading, I'm fairly certain that everybody is only interested in one thing, raping and pillaging the other owner. just think of this as 2 a days in August, eventually, you're gonna have a scrap until you get a chance to kick the shiit out of somebody

and I think everybody really enjoys this league, that's why it so "animated" if you will. for the record, I like the auction system as well, I just think it's may be a little much right now for the way this was set up. maybe a next year thing? you work on the bbid and I'll keep working on getting a punter position......

Keep using the King line. I think we all know what injuries and greasy hands (I'm looking at you, Braylon) did to my squad. We'll see how much bottom dwelling I'm doing once I have the 1st and 2nd RBs and WRs.

Lol, twenty-eight, you can't even stick up for yourself, you gotta get the old man to do it.

Oh, and Stosh, this coming from the guy who won two more games than me and was in the same place in his division. Wasn't it you that said whoever doesn't win the championship is a loser? You're in the same boat as me, except I can at least look good in September. Your team doesn't even have that saving grace.
