not tooting my own QBs horn...but orton was supposed to have put up good #s from a spread offense at purdue. then he got set back going to chicago where they forgot how to throw the ball. i remember reading something about that history right after orton got traded.

But in this league, everyone who is worth anything is already drafted. I don't recall any feeding frenzies last year. It was more like, "oh, TDR got Chansi Stuckey...damn...guess I'll just move down to the next guy on the list".

Take a look at the FA list now and show me one "stud"...
i believe i said that, but i added a few more insults to TDR cuz i wanted chansi for the same reason i wanted davis. he was my boy at clemson. though i didnt actually know him. lol

unless I missed something, I seriously doubt it. Kur and my brother have had some epic rounds but when it comes to trading, I'm fairly certain that everybody is only interested in one thing, raping and pillaging the other owner. just think of this as 2 a days in August, eventually, you're gonna have a scrap until you get a chance to kick the shiit out of somebody

and I think everybody really enjoys this league, that's why it so "animated" if you will. for the record, I like the auction system as well, I just think it's may be a little much right now for the way this was set up. maybe a next year thing? you work on the bbid and I'll keep working on getting a punter position......
ive had epic rounds? i must not have paid attention to who your brother is. lol

and propose adding the punter position and youve got my vote. i gave you vote calling powers before when i was not on much cuz of the flood. so you can still use that for the punter. (and we do have space cuz now rosters can be over 30 players for active)

Yeah, I actually watched him in a lot of games (same conference as PSU), and he was money at Purdue. Honestly, everyone in the conference feared him...maybe not as much as Drew Brees, but he was definitely in a class of his own at times. Chicago is just a death knell for fantasy QB production. Even then, he was doing decent during the middle of last season.

    apparently not.

he wanted to give me turner, lee evans, and bo scaife for moreno, breaston, jon carleson, and my 1st rounder next year.

turner is a remote interest, but he is only slightly ahead of moreno by maybe 20 fantasy points to me.
evans is junk and wont get that much across from TO
scaife is on a run first team.

moreno, the best all around back in the class.
breaston, gives good receiving #s as well as kick and punt return yards which makes him a WR3
carleson is a up and coming threat and dallas clark is getting old.
and my 1st rounder? dont think so, not with who i know will be in the 1st round next year.

dont think he did LT to me cuz i already turned down a trade for LT for my 1.1 this year. im not getting fleeced like i fleeced king with 1st rounder for fred taylor last year. lol

so you think he can get back to that going to denver with decent receivers and a good line?

coming from the guy two spots behind me in the division. your opinion doesnt really count for much.

and the mustache takes away what little credibility you did have.

I mean, he won't have last year's Cutler numbers, but he can easily replicate the 20 TDs/12 Ints that Cutler put up in his second year. That's not too bad for a QB2. The only problem is Marshall's deal. If he's not around, I think the numbers fall to 16/10.

Two spots behind, but only one game back, and tied the season series.

I love how you guys keep bashing the mustachio. The party was called a "Mustachio Bashio." Mine was beautiful. It's like you guys were averse to fun when you were in college.

first off, LT is not Fred Taylor. He did better than Turner last year.... what?

Second off, Turner is a bona fide elite RB. Knowshon has alot of potential, but has never played a down, hence the additional first rounder. The other two players don't start for you.
Scaife averaged 1.7 pts less than carlson, your backup, who is also a run first team now. And evans is a very servicable #3 w/ upside.

Turner gives you a shot at winning the title in the next three years. Moreno will take a year to get good, and breaston and carlson probably wont crack your lineup in that ammount of time.

So you tell me, go for the championship by moving bench players and a rookie for a proven elite RB, or wallow in mediocrity (jk, i like your team, but you have admit you have no chance of competing this year).

yeah, I am serious about moving them, but not because I am down on them. I really like Kevin Smith and D. Ward. Mendenhall is an eFFing stud. I want draft picks, and an elite WR, or a serviceable RB (some combination of that).

breaston wont crack my lineup? he was my flex play or wr2 almost every week last year due mainly to the return yardage points i got. those count here.

go sort the wrs by points last year. breaston was the 12th ranked wr in our league with over 250 points. which, i might add, is only about 25 points less than turner.

carleson started like 4 or 5 games for me when his matchup was better or clark was injured.

    so sum it up.
turner - 278 points, ranked 5th among RBs
evans - 190 points, ranked 33rd among WRs
scaife - 126 points, ranked 11th among TEs

    for
    moreno - rookie
breaston - 252 points, ranked 12th among WRs
carleson - 155 points, ranked 7th among TEs
    2010 1st round pick

breaston nearly equates to turner in points. (and that point total will go up for him now that the return yard scoring has gotten more favorable)
carleson equates to evans now that evans is not a WR1 cuz of TO.

so im trading moreno and a 1st rounder for scaife?

and i didnt say LT was fred taylor. the trade equates to it. trading a 1st rounder, first pick, for a washed up 30+ year old RB. king needed RB help when he made the trade. i didnt need RB help and wasnt desperate for one.

and to say i have to admit i wont compete this year is funny. i did just fine last year until CP started killing me at the end of the season and dropped a few games. still finished 5th by winning the consolation bracket. and considering my strategy backfired on my last draft and FA, it worked out fine by me.
