The first is simple. Add the TE to the current RB/WR flex. The starting roster would look like this:
RB

WR
WR
RB/WR/TE
TE
In this format, we now have the possibility of a new starting roster format in the 2RB,2WR,2TE set. I originally floated this idea around and it got good reviews. Upon further review, however, I noticed that we could add the TE to the WR2 spot, which would allow for another roster format possibility.
Roster format:
RB
RB
WR
WR/TE
RB/WR
TE
This format still allows for the 2RB, 2WR, 2TE set, but also allows for the 3RB,1WR,2TE set. An argument could be made to put a TE flex on the RB2 spot aswell, because that would allow for another format in the 1RB,3WR,2TE set. Yes, it would allow for the 1RB,1WR,3TE set as well, but I think we can all agree that practically speaking, that would never happen.
At the risk of being "non-traditional", I think this final option presents the most flexibility and would add another element of strategy into the game. We can all agree that the TE position is BY FAR the most inferior position of the three, so I don't think a change like this would hurt anyone. But that's just me.
In the interest of progress, I think it would it be best to vote initially on adding the TE to the current RB/WR flex as initially discussed. After that, we can talk more about the stuff I just talked about.
