I think that makes sense. Prevents someone from stocking up on all the RBs. I think 10 RBs is plenty. You can only play at most 3. So you'd have 7 back ups.

True but this is the offseason, and final rosters havent been set. (i still have players to cut)
And do we need something to keep us in check like this? Stockpiling has its own risks b/c it leaves you weak at other positions.
We don't have vetoes for trades (except for collusion) b/c teams are left to their own devices to improve their team. I think this reasoning should apply here.
(I am writing this to explain my reasoning/position on the matter, not to argue. For the record, I dont think this is a big deal.)

I see your point. I just don't think its a big deal. I mean 10 RBs is plenty for one team anyway.
we're not going to up the roster size anymore, so if we add more RB's, we have to take depth away somewhere else. unless i'm mistaken.
so all in all, i think 10 RBs is fine. If you can't make due with 10 RB's, then you better get warmed up for Fantasy Hockey.
Yea, I'd have to agree with 10 as a limit. It would lend itself to hoarding if we opened it up to an unlimited number.
According to Kur, I believe, there is no way to increase the number of spots...it's simply inherent to the fleaflicker code...we triedincreasing it past ten before

Alright, need some opinions for my Yahoo league draft tomorrow night.
I'm pick 10 of 10. I pretty much have myself convinced I'm going WR-RB with my first 2 picks. Question is Gore or Slaton. This is 1 point per reception by the way. I'm about 90 percent sure both will be there for me at 10.
I've only heard good things about Gore this offseason and all signs are pointing to a big year. But it seems to me they say that every season and he fails to put up a "wow" kind of year. Slaton had an impressive rookie season and there is no evidence to suggest he won't have the chance to do the same again. Plus he gets a boost in a PPR league like this.
Right now I'm about 60-40 leaning towards Slaton but the reports that come out every day on Gore make him a tempting pick.
Thoughts? Advice?
Go Slaton and Fitz/Calvin/AJ. You will definitely not be disappointed.

This is def. the direction I'm leaning. If Fitz is there, I'm taking him as my WR. If not I'd probably take Dre over Calvin.
But yeah, I think Slaton is going to be my RB pick. I've been eyeing him since I found out I had the turn pick and I think I should just trust my gut.

I just drafted a team this morning. Had the 6th pick. Not sure what to think of the team.
QBs- Rodgers, Ryan
WRs- Fitz, AJ, Berrian, Desean Jackson, Ginn
RBs- Brown, McFadden, Stewart, Ward, Rice
TE- Shiancoe
K- Josh Brown
DEF- Minnesota
I like that team a lot actually. You are set at WR with 2 of the top 3 guys out there. RBs are solid. Brown and McFadden could wind up being studs this year. Stewart as a 3 is a steal. Dunno about Ward yet but Rice could be a sleeper. If you get in a pinch for help at RB you can deal one of your QBs later in the year too.
The only weak spot is TE but its not that big of a blemish.
It was just a strange draft for me. I usually don't take a WR over a RB in the first round, but Fitz was there so I figured why not. And then when AJ was still there in the 2nd I had to get him. I was 2 picks away from having Brady too.
I feel I'm easily set a WR. RB is a little iffy, that's why I loaded up so maybe I could make a trade for one later on. Shiancoe is iffy, but he had a solid year last year and now that he has Favre throwing to him, I think he has a little more value.
