Well I guess we can call it a career for Plaxico. I'm cutting him.

TE position is very deep this year with sleepers. Not trying to pimp my players still but I will speak of what I know/think.
I truely believe Brent Celek will be a top 10 TE, and that either Cook or Finley will be sexy backups.
If you can play matchups at TE and get a little lucky, you have a great squad.
I have the 11/12th pick in Saleem and mine's longstanding draft and am looking to draft a team very similar to yours. Good job.

I think this season is going to be a changing of the guard in fantasy football. For years it was written in stone that you take a RB #1. Now with so many teams using 2 back sets or RBC it doesn't make sense to put that much value into guys who are giving a third or more of their touches to another player at the same position. Plus, I think PPR is starting to catch on more these days and will further boost the value of WRs.
The only thing stopping me from going WR-WR in my draft tonight is the fact that it would basically force me to use my next 2 picks on RBs and I'd rather have some flexibility.
MattFancy, nice squad. I can honestly say that your squad with the 6th pick is probably better than mine with the 3rd pick. Don't worry about Shiancoe, he's solid, and he's not going to lose you games.
Although, I have to ask, when'd you pick Brown up?

Alrighty here are the results from my draft tonight. This is the league I've been running on Yahoo for the last 7 years. Its half point per completion, full point per reception. 20 yd passing, 10 yd rushing, 20 receiving, all TDs 6 pts.
We start 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 WR/RB, 1 WR/RB/TE, 1 K, and 1 DEF
QB- Schaub (7.10), Hasselbeck (11.10)
RB- Slaton (1.10), Kevin Smith (4.1), McFadden (5.10), Rice (12.1), McCoy (13.10)
WR- Fitzgerald (2.1), Wayne (3.10), Walter (8.1), Mason (10.1), Camarillo (16.1)
TE- Gates (6.1), Celek (15.10)
K- Josh Brown (17.10)
DEF- San Diego (9.10), Dallas (14.1)
I'm really happy how this turned out. My biggest concern is health. If Schaub can stay on the field, there is no reason why Houston can't have an explosive offense. Same for McFadden, if he stays healthy he can have a big year. Scoring Rice and McCoy that late could wind up being grand larceny.
One guy in our draft took Brady, Moss, and Welker. Thankfully he's in the other division and hopefully if we happen to run into each other in the playoffs, the Pats are resting starters LOL.

Not bad, pretty solid. Although, I'm not confident in Schaub staying healthy. If he does, you've got a damn good squad.

Nice team. I cannot believe you were able to land AJ AND Fitz???? How many teams are in the league? I gotta put both of those guys in the top 12...meaning even in a 10 team league one of them would not make it back to you on the wrap-around...
I am considering the same strategy in my money league though...I have the 14th pick in a 14 team league. All of the good RB's will be long gone by then, so I'm thinking I go 2 bigger name WR's, or Brees and a WR. My RB's will definitely suck if I wait til the 3rd rd to grab my first one, but maybe I can take my chances on a rookie like Moreno and Wells/Brown/whoever in the 3rd and 4th rds??? So confused....
Skinsnut, when is your draft? I swapped drafts with the guy who had the 10th pick (I had the 6th). Sounds like we're considering implementing a similar game plan. We should talk and figure this thing out. Don't say anything on here though because Colin has the 11th pick and I don't want him stealing my plan!
I took Brown in the 3rd. Thought that was great value for him. He always has a good 1st half of the season so maybe trade bait.
Its a 10 team league. I dunno how AJ lasted to me in the 2nd round. I think its almost better to go WR-WR now because there are too many RBCs now and unless you get AP, MJD, Turner, or Forte, its just easier to get a WR.
We draft the Sunday before the season begins every year, so it'll be Sept 6th this year.
Not taking an RB with my first 2 picks goes against everything in me, but like FancyMatt said, if you don't get one of those top 5 guys, then there is a big drop-off to the next level. And by the time it hits me at the 14th pick, there will be another drop-off.
So I gotta believe it would be stupid to go with the best available RB at that point when you may have a Brees or Brady sitting there??? Even at the 14 pick AJ and Fitz will probably be gone??? Ugh!!!!!
