time for trash talk, self gloating:

This week, I only had 3 players start for me that were on Armchair's roster last year.
Of the 35 roster spots we have, only 9 of them are holdovers.

And yet, after two weeks, I am first in the league w/ the highest points for total. Its early but I like my future.

And shame on all of you who passed Percy Harvin. He will be the best player in fantasy football by next year. Drew Brees is the only person to challenge him and oh yeah, he's on my team too.

Edit: and mark my words- Jared Cook will be the best TE in fantasy football by this time next year. Do yourself a favor and get him in your other leagues soon.

I will say, it's impressive, although it's only been two games.

Also, Percy Harvin has zero chance of being the best player in fantasy. He will play the Reggie Bush role because he'll never be an every-down type of back, and he won't get the TDs if he's mainly being used as a receiver. Not to say he isn't talented, but I'm also worried that he'll be injured anyway. In any case, good pick-up.

And Jared Cook is a beast, but I think he's got to beat out another beast, Dustin Keller (who has a better QB), first.

Just a thought but, I do not believe we have a policy on trading draft picks on Fleaflicker.

Some trades include the FF picks and some dont. Traded picks are kept track of on the ES roster thread which provides consistency, but if FF can do it too then why not use them? You can trade picks one year and two years in the future.

I have not traded picks on FF yet but if other people are doing it I feel I should too for further consistency.

if you make a trade involving a draft pick, then trade the pick on FF too. Who hasn't been doing that? Isn't that just common sense? I didn't know there was anyone who wasn't doing that. Unless i'm missing your point CCFF, lol.



And i was thinking about this illegal Practice Squad thing last night. When a new league member is making the find and calling out the errors, i think it's time to include some sort of penalty for having an illegal Practice Squad.

I don't think we need anything harsh, unless someone becomes a repeat offender. But we have to have some method that prevents the Practice Squad from just becoming a revolving door of illegal roster moves. Any ideas?

And the stuff that CCFF caught is fine imo. I see no reason to penalize anyone for that stuff. At this point, it's no big deal. But this is a problem that we DEFINITLEY shouldn't be having when we're heading into our 3rd season of play.

no doubt. i'm not calling you out at all. i'm just thinking we need to have some type of penalty for an illegal Practice Squad from here on out, just so this doesn't become a problem. It hasn't in my opinion, become a problem yet, and i think we should strive to keep it so.

As far as trading on fleaflicker, it's been suspect in some of my past trades (not showing picks that I clearly had). I think the roster thread is reliable, if inconvenient.

And I like the idea of cutting an illegal PS player...maybe on a second offense in the same year?

I am liking the idea of cutting the inelligable player(s) more and more. However, if we're going over all of this and hashing it out now, isn't this already enough of a warning that your PS should be straight?

I'm just not sure we need to give out a warning. If the player is inelligable and you get caught, he gets released. Pretty cut and dry.

I won a game in a random Yahoo! league 110.80-100.36. Since when did Yahoo! public leagues use fractional points? Wasn't like that week 1. I dunno how I won because I checked Sunday night and I was losing 112-111. Then I checked Monday morning and I won 111-110. Neither of us had players on Sunday night or Monday.

not sure on the public leagues.

cuz im pretty sure that drops league is private. so maybe there is a different scoring setup there. dont think ive ever played a yahoo public league before.

but thats pretty weird that the score changed like that.

Its week two and there are some pretty egregious errors in PS placement.

Kur- Shaun Hill has been in the NFL for 7 years. Iglesias might have to go back on PS afterall.
Grey Bush (Nut)- Selvin Young entered in 07, Burress in 2000 and Stallworth in 2002. Come on.
MattyFan- Marcus Mason entered in 07 as undrafted FA. Fargas entered in 03.

Remember, first and second year players only.

yeah. you can ease off the roster police since there are several other people who do a good job at that. try checking the transaction log. hill got moved there the day before while rosters were locked since i was trying to move iglesias and i knew someone would be putting a claim on sanchez which would mean subsequently dropping hill.
as well as that nut didnt use a PS all last year so he used it as his real IR.

not to mention this was already addressed. so first you should probably check the background on things so you know whats actually going on. then you could do what the other guy that noticed some of them did, contact me directly to take care of it...

just sayin.
