But i needed a W bad.....glad i got it in such dominating fashion. It would be nice to be the top scorer this week, knowing that i sat Santana Moss in favor Garcon, who in his own right had a nice game yesterday.

the rule for PS claims is that you have 48 hours to respond to the claim. as the rules are written, no one has to seek you out and inform you.

however, i think changes are coming in that regard. you may be the screwjob that leads to the rule change. lol

My team that I thought was going to be money going into the year is 0-3.

Here's the roster:

QBs- Brady, Cutler
WRs- Randy Moss, Ochocinco, TO, Santana, Hester, Garcon
RBs- Portis, Ronnie Brown, Lynch, Donald Brown, Larry Johnson
TE- Cooley
K- Carney
DEF- Whoever has a good matchup...been Redskins and Jets so far
D- James Harrison/Antwan Odom

Yey my team is 0-3. Portis has done nothing, TO nothing, Santana finally had a good game, Ochocinco has been decent, Ronnie Brown has been ok. My team just flat out sucks.

Reggie Wayne screwed me over in 3 separate leagues yesterday. I was ahead by double-digits in all of them going into the Sunday nighter, and I lost all three. In one league, I was up 25, and he had Clark and Wayne to go, and beat me.

I couldn't agree more...I already PMed Kur about my proposed rule changes and I posted them in this thread (i think it's one page back)

NEW RULE: TDR has to win a game before he can address me again.


edit: I just posted this on FF but I think we need to change some of the PS rules for next year. I think that once a claim is made, you must make the owner you're claiming a player from aware through e-mail and/or PM notification.

I also don't like the fact that once the seaoson is over the original owner gets a another chance to retain his player or take teh compensation pick. I don't think you should have two chances to retain your guy. Especially not after watching him for an entire season and seeing his value. I just don't think it's fair. Whats the point of making a claim then?

It's to your advantage to have someone claim on of your players. He's techinally still yours but he doesn't take up one of your roster spots. Then at the end of the season you can either have your player or take the pick if it exceeds the players value.

I agree. I think the owner of the player needs to be given a heads up. I just got Shonn Greene from trizzy and I dunno if he knew about it or not. I mean I guess people should be checking the league page out, but I don't think people are going on there everyday.

You know what, you're absolutely right, Coffee was claimed within the rules. But I think from a larger perspective, it's time to separate myself from this league. This has been a long time coming, this latest incident is just the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak.

When the idea came around for a dynasty league, I was intrigued and excited, and most people here probably remember how well the original 12 managers came together, got the initial draft rolling, and got the league started. In retrospect, that was the probably the best time I ever had doing this.

The way I see it, the problems with this league are as follows:

1. Not using Yahoo. I'm sorry, I'm sure FleaFlicker was new and cool last year, and had free stat tracking etc., but Yahoo is a far superior service, in my opinion. The viewing is easier, it's easier to use, stat-tracker is now free with it. Looking at FleaFlicker reminds me of GWBasic, the way it's all crammed together, low on graphical content, and to me, poorly designed.

Not to mention, I use Yahoo for every other league I'm in, and most people I know do that same or use ESPN. It doesn't sound like much, but it's annoying, especially when you're rushed for time, to have to log into another site, especially one that I don't find particularly appealing.

2. This league has gotten out of control in general with rules, players, etc. We have a ****ing practice squad, for God's sake. This is supposed to be fantasy football, not fantasy general manager. Not only do we have a practice squad, but then there are the IR guys who you don't even have to have on your roster. Am I the only one who is irritated by the fact that when I want to pick a player up on FleaFlicker, I have to log into ES and search the damn roster thread to make sure he's not already on someone elses team? This **** doesn't need to be that complicated, and as I said, I don't have the time for it.

3. The PS squad deserves special de-merit. I'm sorry, but in the NFL, claiming someone off another teams PS doesn't happen in a clandestine fashion, they are made aware of it. When this league started, I tried reading the messge board on Fleaflicker, but people were posting so damned much that it became impossible to follow. I haven't looked at that message board in over a year.

This league is no longer any fun, it's become like a second job trying to keep up with it. I'm especially not going to be able to keep up with it next year when I'll have even more taking up my time. So I'm afraid I must take my leave of you fine gentlemen. Please start the search for a new manager as soon as you can; I'll keep my rosters updated each week so no one gets a walkover victory.

Contact me in the future for one of these leagues whenever it's hosted on a quality site, is played with normal rules, rosters that aren't as long as a phonebook, etc.

Oh yeah, I thought I had commented on that issue, but I guess it never registered. I wholeheartedly agree with 28 (that's the first and last time I'll say that).

I really don't think many people check the fleaflicker message board that often, so owners should be notified.

Also, I was never a fan of the option to retain a claimed PS player at the end of the year. I mean, let's be honest here, not many of our draft choices really ever get to see playing time their first year anyway, so for the great majority of owners, it's almost beneficial to have a good rookie claimed. The person who's doing the claiming should have the advantage, and the pressure should be put upon the claimee to make a decision immediately...I mean, that's what you get for stashing a good player on the PS.

I agree 100% with this one. I feel like I can't pick up any FAs because I dunno if a player is on someones IR or an actual FA. I agree that we should maybe do away with the PS and IR. I just think its too much. This is my first experience with a dynasty league and its definitely different. Its more of a challenge which is cool, but its confusing with all the rules. We just need to make things simpler and less confusing for everyone.

I also agree with using Yahoo or ESPN. Fleaflicker is nice and all, but all my other leagues or Yahoo or ESPN, so I sometimes forget about checking FF. Especially since Yahoo has free stats now, its easily the best.

although you might only be screwed for this season cuz even if the rules change as 28 suggested. youd still be grandfathered in for getting to take coffee back after the season.
