i agree. Thanks for your input TDR. Favre's points shouldn't count. We're supposed to be playing on an honor system when it comes to this stuff, we shouldn't have to police each other. Three years in for an original member to be making this kind of "mistake" is a little ridiculous. I'm not trying to be a *****, but if this happened to any of you guys, i have a feeling you'd feel kinda screwed too.

Pho, i know you're the commish, so maybe we can both shoot Kur a pm and see what flea flicker will allow you to do as far as point adjustments go becuase this just isn't right.

Thanks Pho. Yeah i sent Kur a pm and posted a lil message on his Facebook wall. I'm hoping he comes around to help out on this, because for real, it's bull****.

Favre shouldn't have been active, since he was placed on IR. He never should have played in the game. His points shouldn't count. If i'm off base, please someone explain why.

I'm new, but that is pretty cheap, I know I'd be pissed if that last TD from Favre gave him the victory over me.

At the same time, B&G did pop in here and say something about it "obviously" being an accident that Favre was there in the first place, and no punishment was ever decided on. So I think it should possibly go to a vote.

Although I'm sure you'd win any vote, because it is definitely bull, its also not right that if you had won anyways, this probably wouldn't even be an issue. The rules should be upheld whether it contributes to a win or a loss.

Even if i had won, i still planned on coming in here and asking what the deal was as far as B&G goes, because we can't have league members just doing whatever in leiu of the rules. If you guys wanna vote on it, that's fine by me. The way i see it, i'm an active member who adheres to the rules, and I speak up when things don't seem right. Nothing against B&G, but he does just the bare minimum to be considered an "active" member in this league. If you guys would rather take the risk of being the next guy screwed by a careless manager, so be it. I don't think it's right.

and really, i don't understand how one "mistakenly" puts a guy like Favre on the IR anyway. Can i understand clicking IR instead of bench? Sure...but when you see it's not right, wouldn't you fix it? I mean it takes you straight to your roster after you make a move like that, so you can see that you got everything the way you want it. Kind of hard to believe that Favre was accidentally put on the IR, but not taken off for 4 days. And as far as we know, the only reason he didn't sit on the IR longer was because i spoke up about it.

You can see it for yourself, Favre was added 9 days ago, and he wasn't removed from the IR until 5 days ago. No reason for a 300 year old QB to sit on someones IR that long. i can understand until rosters unlock or something like that....but i dunno, i'm just fumed over the whole thing.

So if we're going to go ahead and take a vote, i dunno if i get one or not since this league matter directly involves a matchup between two managers....but if i do get a vote, i'm gonna go ahead and vote YES to retroactively disallowing Brett Favre's points in the matchup between me and B&G this past weekend.

It shouldn't need to go to a vote, because I remember when we drafted the rules Kur and I had clause in there specifically for this case. I think as the rules got edited over the years, it may have somehow gotten deleted. It's unfortunate, but I can't remember whether it was a forfeit of game vs. discounting points.

In any case, since it's not there I think we should go to a vote, but I don't think Drop or B&G should have votes in it. That leaves 10 people, and I believe we need majority, so 6 votes needed to discount Brett Favre's points retroactively. Does that make sense?

BTW, I'm pretty sure Kur would be able to adjust points. He mentioned something not too long ago about being able to do that.

But I will ask....is Favre eligible to get him points the REST of the season? Are we in effect instituting a one-week "neutralization" of a player's points when a mistake like this is made?

If you are going to not count Favre's points this week, I think you have to make him ineligible for the whole season going forward. Otherwise it's like we are just catering to 1 member of the league.

CS26, that's a good question. I think that's something we're going to have to discuss as well. If everyone is fine with adjusting Favre's points, which is going to cost him the game, and letting that be the only punishment, so be it. But honestly, putting Favre on IR the rest of the year seems logical to me and was actually my suggestion from the start. That being said, i wouldn't be opposed to letting that part of it slide if the majority of the league feels that adjusting Favre's points and costing B&G the game is penalty enough.

Thanks for chiming in on this bro, i appreciate it. the whole league needs to speak up because although this is only affecting me and B&G right now, in the future it could be any of the league members.

i agree. i just didn't want you guys to think i was being too harsh. likewise, i don't want you to think that i'm simply fine with the points not counting and serving only my needs this particular week.

i believe it should be a 2 part penalty honestly. Take away the points, then put Favre on the IR and lock him since that's where he was, and should have stayed in the first place. Had that happened already, b&g could have beaten me legit with Vince Young....but he pissed that oppurtunity away by playing an invalid player.
