If my vote carries any weight, I like the extra DL and losing the team defense.

As i've stated before, i think the new guys should be heard in these issues at hand.
so far it seems like an extra DL, and no team defense are pretty strong bets to be passed through.
Personally I'm fine with taking out the team defense and changing the scoring around a little bit but I don't think we need to add any other IDP positions. I don't really have a strong opinion about these issues either way, so if you all feel strongly about changing them, no complaints from me.
I would like to officially vote YES on adding a DL spot & CCFF's proposed IDP scoring changes
YES to adding a DL spot
YES to adopting CCFF's IDP scoring system
NO to adding a Defensive Flex spot
YES to eliminating Team Defense

Under the old rules, not many DL were very valuable so I believe we only start one DL now because of that. With the new rules, more IDPs are better allowing us to be able to start more. If we don't start two DL it lowers the value of having a good DL which I think is not good.
I'm not sure if this has been clear so far to those who have already voted but I think a yes to change scoring should also mean a yes for two DL.
Exactly. That's why I'm loving the change its looking like we might make. In fact, since CCFF has a league where he's taking these scoring changes from, I'm surprised he didn't put up more of a stink about our own IDP scoring earlier, unless I'm just not remembering or he did before I was in the league. Did your spats with kur your first season make you less aggressive in terms of suggesting changes, CCFF?
This is exactly where I am. I want an extra DL spot, especially since the should be the most important IDP position now, but I think 2 DB's and 2 LB's is enough.-I like beefing up the value for the DL position a lot, and i'd be ok with adding another DL...but i definitley don't want to use up another roster spot on any kind of defensive flex position.
I want this too, and I'm cool with no compensatory picks.-I'm also on board with getting rid of the Team Defense all together. I'm like twenty-eight, I don't really think we need any compensatory picks though.
Very interesting point. Yes, that is what I meant. Hmmm. If we decide that we want the elite players at DL/LB highlighted by their big plays, and not by insane tackle numbers, then I guess similar thoughts for DB's and passes defenses would make sense.-Conn, when you say pass deflections, you mean passes defended right? Because we currently do have 1 point for passes defended. The thing is, our rule applies to QB's, RB's, WR's, TE's, K's, DB's, DL's, and LB's. Are you saying that a pass defended should only apply to DB's? I don't know why our offensive guys get a point for passes defended, but that's kinda ridiculous isn't it? Also, you pointed to tackles amongst linebackers being a a quantity over quality stat...which I agree it is. But wouldn't passes defended sort of be the same thing for DB's? A lot of lesser talented guys will probably rack up more passes defended than the better, ball hawking corners of the league who don't get thrown at as much. I'm not saying i'm against it by any means, just thought it was sort of the same idea as tackles amongst linebackers. And could that possibly cancel out the added value that our scoring change would put on a guy like Revis?

It does. You're a noob here, but your opinion still carries weight. We pretty much decided before letting you guys in that you absolutely should have the right to vote on current issues, but you shouldn't be able to propose big rule changes until you've had some experience in our current rules.

Seconded. I think this vote is a more clear explanation of what we've discussed, though I think that Fancy, Drop, and 28 all meant it like this as well.
