Wow interesting trade. Maybe a slight edge to Marshall.
Wow interesting trade. Maybe a slight edge to Marshall.
i like Marshall more for my team. I traded for Jordy a WEEK too late last season to get into the playoffs. I really wanted him to try to capitalize on his hot streak and make the postseason. Now though, i think Marshall is a better fit for my team heading into this season. He's a knucklehead sometimes, but i think i can depend on him more than Jordy if something goes awry with Nicks.
Oh and......FINALLY, Brandon Marshall HAS COME BACK.....to the team...... that originally draaaafted him.
Been a long time BMarsh, but you reuniting with Cutler = me reuniting with you. Big Ben's got one of his original team mates back now!
Okay, I've got an idea for you...make the trade a bit bigger, see if you can entice him that way to add Taiwan as a throw in.
This idea hinges on how he sees Helu though. I know you like him a lot. And how he sees Bradshaw. You have Wilson on your bench, so really Bradshaw is a short-term road block for the guy you hope is the REAL star. So if you could somehow be lucky enough that he values Bradshaw above Helu, you might be able to work a deal where you get a guy you like more, that might be valued less, and your potential DMC handcuff.
This is just an off the wall idea. Whenever I MUST have a young bench player whose value should be comparatively low, like Taiwan, but whom people value highly, I try to create scenarios where the trade gets bigger, and I still get "my guys", with the original smaller target as the eventual throw in. Doesn't always work, but it would be nice for you to get some idea of how he values Helu and Bradshaw anyways. And then look at the larger pieces of your rosters that you could swap, where you like the guys you get more, but are giving more value technically.

Love when players go full circle from roster to roster like that lol.
I also love seeing one-for-one trades. They're so simple, yet so ballsy when you think about it. You are straight up declaring that although its a "fair deal" value wise...you're the one whose right. No other pieces added in to even it out, no way to alleviate risk...just one guy for another, both owners following their gut and hoping they made an improvement. Love it. They're also the easiest trades to look back and brag about.![]()
I thought about doing something with Bradshaw and Helu...and it's something i might have to consider still.
I rejected his counter and countered him with Goodson/Jones for Randle/Ringer. I mean jeez, that's more than fair, i'm giving the overpayment on that one if you ask me. Of course, as the DMC owner, you'd expect i'd probably want to do that.
But maybe you're right, maybe i need to consider looking into Bradshaw and Helu again if he says no to the current deal. I kinda figured the only way he'd want Bradshaw would be if Wilson came with him....but i don't really want to move Wilson. I'm gonna have to see how he responds and think about it.
Appreciate the advice Shaun!
And you know I plan on bragging about Nicks/BMarsh/Maclin/Torrey....

Yeah, it might get too expensive. On the other hand, he might not be one of those who really likes Helu. He might want to get rid of a player who has the Shanahan RB stigma, rightly or wrongly. If that's the case, you might get lucky in this situation. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much else worth throwing your way if you were to somehow throw him both Bradshaw and Wilson, unless you wanted a win-now guy like Sproles, and even then that's unlikely to happen since he won't see Bradshaw/Wilson as both being startable players for him. You'd have to get a WR, and I don't see the right guy really.

That's a sweet 4some of WR's dude. I'm a bit jealous!

Shot you something on Fleaflicker Hitman, give it a look and hit me back.
Appreciate the kind words Drop and Conn!
No problem buddy, we knew you'd be a good fit. Should be lots of fun! We know probably about half the league from other leagues, and they're a great group of guys. Some strangers in there as well that we don't know, but that just means they don't know the players we prefer.![]()
Matt, glad to have you buddy!
nice trade guys.. Bmarsh over Jordy for me... but also a risk worth taking on the Jordy side... i just dont see the numbers coming close to that again with Finley resigned and Cobb coming on as well.. but we will see... nice to see a trade...
sorry i didn't see that earlier Conn, yeah we can trade 2014's now.

Matt, if you need any help with MFL, just let me know. It can be complicated at first. If you've used MFL before, ignore this. lol

It has gotten way too friendly in here recently; you all are losing your edge. I'm proud to say that I got through my half marathon last weekend mostly by visualizing curb-stomping each of you, then drinking your blood and tears to gain any powers you might have that are superior to my own. I then discovered these actions were futile as none of you have anything superior to me, but the stomping and tear drinking was still fun.
Say hello to each of your mothers for me; as they were leaning over your prone, lifeless forms, I snuck up behind them and slipped them the business where they never let your fathers put it, because none of your fathers were manly enough to demand 5th base. Even after that, I still felt like I hadn't embarrassed your family for enough generations, so I made each of your mothers perform ass to mouth and then promise to tell the story to their grandkids on their deathbeds; the story being that they secretly enjoyed it.
So that's that. In the year 2300-whatever, your great-great-great-great (however many) grandkids will tell the story of how their great-great (however many) grandmother had the pleasure of letting Forehead, "The Man", ram them in the ass and then cleaned it off for him. Enjoy kissing each of your mom's goodnight now, or even looking at them the same again.
Bitches.
