I think both of GO's points are necessary. Everyone has to be on board or it won't work. I don't want to run anyone off either. And i wouldn't be looking to do more than a $25 or so buy in.

So unfortunately Fancy, it looks like we're stuck with Flea Flicker for at LEAST this year. And that's nothing against Flea Flicker, i like it and always have. It's just no MFL, that's all.

and CCFF, i think that is how it works in this league.

The 1st is a Sunday, so if we start making claims on the first, the first round of blind bids should process on Wednesday the 4th.

I'm not for having to pay fees to use another site, I like FF just fine. I'm not really interesting in making this a money league either although I would much prefer that our money go to rewarding the winner of the league than having to pay to use a site. While I would prefer not to have to pay, I certainly would if the rest of the league wanted to and my spot in the league depended on it.

There would be a reward. The league site fee would be paid for with our buy in.

    Yikes. Talk about fairies!

And Pho, about time you ran a half you piece of crap. My first race ever was a half! I have a 10-miler on Saturday.

    Congrats GO!

I'm okay with like a $15-$20 fee for here. I think we had talked a little about it in the past. But agree with others, that we would need everyone to be on board with it.

I wouldn't necessarily use your own stupidity as an example when trying to put me down. I build up to things, thus I'm not the one whining (like you) in the running thread about various injuries I've suffered. I'm probably going to dial it back a bit over the summer; I hate running when it gets this hot. I'll probably only be doing 1-2 longer runs per week at this point, 8-10 miles per. My next planned race is a 10 miler as well, but it isn't till September.

Anyway, moving on to other things, I'm pretty firmly against a pay league. It's not really a money thing, I have a good job and make enough to pay Conn's mother to dance naked in the lobby of my building for tips. Why does she do this? Because Conn's sister* went off and got pregnant in high school like a little tramp, can't afford the kid by herself but wanted to keep it, and dear old mom can't bear to cast her out into the streets and fend for herself. Thus, mom dances for tips to support her whore daughter, which would be the most embarrassing thing any of her offspring has done if it weren't for the fact the Conn merely exists.

    * Note, if you don't have a sister, disregard. But your mother is still a whore.

Anyway, I digress. It's fairly obvious that I'm one of the least committed members of this league, beyond talking a lot of trash. That can be chalked up to a few things, but a graph of my commitment would show distinct downslopes with the arrival of each kid, not to mention progressive work responsibilities and my own personal hobbies like the aforementioned running. Point is, I like you guys, but this is a bit far down the totem pole for me, and not something I'm really interested in laying money on. Hell, it takes me weeks to respond to trade offers and rules changes in the OP. I read the PM's, make a mental note to respond later and...well, you get the idea. If this becomes the direction the league wants to go, I respect it, I'll probably turn my team over to a manager in wait at that point. Many of you have put a lot of commitment into this and I'm not going to be an anchor on it. I've probably only got a few more seasons left in me anyways, but I'll miss all of you ****ing clown shoes.

Agreed. But I should say I've never used MFL. Could we do our draft on it? I've been emailing FF the past couple years about doing our draft on there and they still act like they don't know what a dynasty league is. But I still like it because they respond to me.

To be completely honest, I thought u started tuning out after Jimmy Clausen. I know I've had my part in making u remember that, but sorry if it got out of hand. It was a really ballsy pick is all. I'll give u a 4th rounder for him if it helps.

Well, that would make sense, though not for the reason you think. The 2010 NFL Draft was April 22, 2010. It stands to reason that our draft would have started relatively soon after that, and checking the thread, it appears it started in early June. My first kid was born in early May, 2010...so yes, my attention to this league did drop dramatically around the time of the Clausen pick, though he wasn't the primary reason. On a related note, I looked him up on Wikipedia, and it lists Clausen's nickname as "pickles." I've never heard him referred to as that before. I wonder if it's for the obvious last name, or for his tendency to throw interceptions.

Oh, and as to your 4th rounder, offering low round picks as an insult to other members is MY THING. Stop stealing my bit.

it's a far superior option to Flea Flicker. I really think some of you guys should reconsider.....

Maybe we should look into other options than FF. I can understand if people don't want to pay to use MFL, but what about some other sites? Doesn't ESPN have dynasty set-ups now?

I'm not sure. I've only ever used Yahoo, CBS, Flea Flicker and MFL. I'm not overly familiar with CBS since i was basically running my buddie's boss's team for him, and i only did it for once year. Yahoo ain't ****, and doesn't have dynasty functionality as far as I know. Everything else is foreign to me.

The main problem for me with FF is that there isn't an app for phones and its blocked at work for me and Pho at least. Not sure if its blocked for anyone else.

I have the FF app, it's not bad. And what happens when your IT department blocks MFL too. Don't think that's a great reason to switch and lose our league history. I enjoy following a player's transaction history which is why I'd really like it if we could draft on our site.
