So by this Sunday we need to have our rosters cut down to 35 active, 5 PS, and 3 IR players right??

Almost. Technically, we need to have our active rosters down to 35 by Saturday.

The Hall of Fame game is this Sunday, and we have to have our active rosters down to 35 the day BEFORE the start of preseason.

So let this serve as a reminder to everyone....ACTIVE rosters must be down to 35 by SATURDAY, 11:59 pm.

Last year, we had a little issue with this, as I had to make cuts for one owner. Last year, I was leniant and allowed that owner to take the players back and make the cuts on his own, since he wasn't too far past the deadline.

This year....I will not be leniant. If your roster isn't down by the appropriate time. I will make the cuts for you. Now i'm not waiting until the clock strikes midnight just to make cuts. But when I wake up on Sunday morning, or should I check in over the course of a late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, I will in fact make the cuts and there's no if's, and's, or but's about it.....no one is getting my leniancy this season.

Riggo and Hitman, I know you guys are new. But this is your heads up right here fellas. As it is for everyone else in the league.

The IR on fleaflicker is where we keep players on our PS and our red shirts or RS. We used to call the RS the IR but that is too confusing and the redshirts designation seems to fall more in line with that roster spot. You should keep your roster thread post updated frequently to reflect your PS and RS designations.

No we didn't change the name, and i don't see a need to. It's not confusing if you understand and pay attention.

They are still designated as the IR, and the PS.

It works like this Hitman....we technically have 8 "IR" spots. However...only 3 of those are designated as actual Injured Reserve spots....meaning you can put up to 3 guys on injured reserve. The other 5 our are Practice Squad spots....meaning you can put up to 5 players on your PS.

I would read the rules in the very first post of this thread, and be VERY familiar with the differences between the IR and the PS, and who is eligible for what. If you don't have a good understanding of this, and we see a pattern of abuse, or simply not understanding how these work, you face some stiff penalties that we put in place a couple years ago. If you have any other questions about the IR or PS, i'm happy to answer them. But you still NEED to thoroughly read through the rules first, then ask questions if something doesn't make sense.

Ah cut time...a difficult portion of the year where I have to figure out which of my many 3rd stringers might not actually contribute. I don't want to have another Laurent Robinson moment.

It also should be added in the rules that if you claim a PS player, you need to PM the other owner, not just post it on FF. Pretty sure everyone agreed on that a few years ago.

Actually it doesn't look like we ever voted officially but Kur amended the rule at the time:

same with me, i check every day of the week. dont really do the weekends, but if people want to get ahold of me, i have my AIM in my sig, which both drop and tdr have used to get ahold of me when they needed something.

and your impression is how its supposed to be. still make the claim on FF (which should only be used for IR notices and PS claims- to eliminate the needless stuff) so it doesnt get lost in the shuffle on here. then email or PM the owner.

I have read the rules, but there's nothing on there that says how to put them on the Practice Squad. I understand the differences and what makes a player eligible for the PS or IR; I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything on Fleaflicker that designated PS from IR.
