I think the gap between Foster/Rice/McCoy and a lesser RB1 is MUCH larger than the gap between Brees/Rodgers/Brady and a lesser QB1.

I'd rather have one of the big 3 at RB and a QB at the 2/3 turn or later than Rodgers/Brees and whichever RB is left at the 2/3 turn. No question.
This is pretty much redraft philosophy gospel. There are too many surefire QB options to take one early. After the top 3/5 RBs, you're already into the question mark range.

As for CCFF's suggestion, I'm all for changing it next season. I think it's too late in the game for this year, even though I would definitely benefit from it.

Give Dez + Jeffery for Nicks in another Dynasty league. Would you guys do it?

I wouldn't do it. Dez = Nicks for all intents and purposes. Both have QBs that throw for yardage and TDs, with a stud opposite them to take away coverage. Dez might be more injury prone, but the upside with Jeffery mitigates that.

Oh, and as far as changing scoring goes, there are a few things we need to consider. First, if we were to change the scoring so that rush LBs get more credit for sacks, I think it would reflect the true value of the player. Having said that, we already had a DL draft, and I'm assuming had these changes been implemented BEFORE that draft, then we would have had a DL/LB draft. At this point, I think it kind of screws over people who don't have good blitzing LBs already on their roster and aids people who do, as there aren't many of those players in the free agent pool.

I honestly think the best way to do it is to play out the season, implement the change next offseason, then throw every defensive player into free agency and have an all-IDP draft, 6 rounds deep.

Really? No love for Lynch? I'm thinking Murray or Lynch personally. Anyone else?

    Non PPR-choose 1:
    Demarco Murray
    Jamaal Charles
    Mike Wallace
    Marshawn Lynch

I admittedly haven't done full research on any of these guys since they're not on my team in our league. The league just got activated a few days ago and we have a few more days to set our keepers. In non-ppr i'm hardly even viewing Wallace as an option. After a little reading I'm thinking Murray; I kind of like having NFC East guys on fantasy teams that I don't care too much about. It's a nice benefit when the enemy guys do have their good games.

Conn, I would hang on on to Dez and Jeffery... Dez has potential to be = to Nicks and Jeffery I have a good feeling about in Chi

Conn made the trade in case you guys were wondering. He gave up Dez and Alshon and got Nicks and Tolbert.

And no, I wasn't the trade partner, i'm just in the league and saw it.

As for the IDP thing.....I'm all for the change, but we need to wait until next offseason at this point. And honestly, i kinda like TDR's idea. I purposely dumped all of my blitzing linebackers prior to making all the scoring changes, which clearly was terrible timing.

I'm highly against a redraft of all IDPs. I think it's unnecessary and unamerican.

Looks like most, and definitely not everyone, want to wait till next offseason to vote. This gives people the entire year to start stashing rush LBs in preparation for next year if they chose, which lowers the need for a redistribution draft. Also, there aren't that many players that are greatly affected by this except for those that I mentioned which I think we can all agree on (ware, Von miller, Aldon smith). The gap in value currently is still less than it was when we had a non performance based IDP scoring system last year, meaning rush lbs should have gotten a boost in value with the changes we've made so far. I would argue, just not far enough.

I reeeeealy don't think we should redistribute our IDPs.

Fancy. did you sit in the CF seats all game? (The bar seats, right?) it's pretty much first come first serve, right? 1 in and one out. I usually have a beer up there then head to my seat. Fantastic view. You caught a great game too!

Yeah we sat up there all game. Just got up there around 6:45 and just hung out drinking beers until we saw some open seats in the front row and just stayed there all game. The usher told us that people walk up there as soon as the gates open so its kinda tough to get a seat there. But its definitely a great view.

Since everyone else is asking for advice:

In one of my cash leagues we get 2 keepers. Aaron Rodgers will be one, I can't decide on the other.
Their keeper rules are kinda dumb. They started the keeper idea back in 2008 under the premise you can keep any player drafted after round 5. You can also keep the same player from year to year. As a result, alot of great talent has been tied up on the same team for the last 5 years. For example, I've had Rodgers since 08. Guys like Megatron, Foster, Forte, Chris Johnson, Shady, McFadden...they are all keepers for other teams. So alot of the top talent never has a chance at being drafted, hence difficulty in finding a 2nd keeper. I had Mike Williams (TB) as my 2nd keeper last year and he bombed out. Unfortunately, the rest of my roster sucked. Out of my keeper eligible players, the only ones I can even consider keeping at this point are Williams again or Roy Helu.

At the end of last year I was convinced I was keeping Helu. But now with Royster running with the 1st team and Hightower coming back, I'm not so sure.
What would you guys suggest? Stick with my gut and keep Helu or roll the dice on Williams again and hope he benefits from V-Jax being the main concern for opposing defenses?

Oh I should mention this is a PPR league.

Yeah. Usually head there about 30 minutes before the game. Never really sat up there during the game though. Love that shot of Jonsey!

That was the first time I ever tried to stay up there for the whole game. Like I said, we just kinda waited around and made friends with the usher and she let us know when seats were empty.

You would go nuts sitting right behind Jones lol

As for the IDP scoring issue. I think we should wait until next off-season to make the changes and I'm against a redraft.
