Conn, you should be happy, I finally spent some of my FA money.

Anyway, I had my first draft last night. 10 team Yahoo league, .5 PPR, 6 points for TD passes were the main variations in points. The position setup is different, you start one QB, one WR, one RB, one TE, one DEF, one K, and then three more spots which are WR/RB, your choice, so you could start four running backs if you so chose. Also of note, this is a league with mostly Philly fans, so when I wound up with the 3rd pick, I knew I was getting either Arian Foster or Ray Rice because it was a guarantee lock that LeSean McCoy was going with one of the first two picks. As it turns out, the guy with the #1 pick forgot about the draft and was given Foster, the #2 guy took McCoy as expected, and I wound up with Ray Rice at #3.

The draft played out well for me, because these guys are pretty hardcore in their fandom, so they were avoiding NFC East players, drafting Eagles players a little early, and some of them clearly hadn't done their research. As a result, this is the team I wound up with, a mixture of studs, potential, and a few veterans who might have solid years. Thisis the complete team, I can't log into fantasysports at work so I'm going off memory as to the approximate rounds.

QB: Matt Stafford (3rd), Peyton Manning (7th or 8th)
RB: Ray Rice (1st), Jamaal Charles (2nd), Willis McGahee (6th or 7th) Isaac Redman (Late), Mikel LeShore (Very Late)
WR: Hakeem Nicks (4th), Demaryius Thomas (5th or 6th), Pierre Garcon (8th or 9th), Reggie Wayne (10th or so) Kenny Britt (Late)
TE: Jason Witten (11th?), Greg Olsen (Very Late)
DEF: Jets (Late) Basically will just do matchup plays all season, they play the Bills week 1.
K: Accidentally took the New Orleans kicker (Kasey) who won't have the job. Have a waiver claim in for a matchup play.

This seems incredible, even for a 10 teamer. I know Witten's spleen may keep him out week 1, but the 11th round? I know Britt has his issued and could be an easy drop, but he was in the teen rounds. Hakeem Nicks lasting till the end of the 4th? Being able to get Isaac Redman late while someone else drafted Mendenhall four rounds earlier. This team should be dangerous. I did briefly consider taking Aaron Rodgers #3 overall because of the 6 pts per passing TD, but getting Stafford in the 3rd made up for it.

Seems like a pretty solid team there Pho. I don't really see anything that jumps out to me as a weakness,

I had my big money draft on Tuesday night. It's a 12-team PPR and we start 2 Flex spots.

QB: Ryan, RG3
RB: McCoy, Martin, Spiller, Ingram, Morris
WR: Jennings, Colston, Lloyd, SMoss, Cobb, Simpson
TE: Gonzalez, Rudolph
K: Kaeding
DEF: Patriots

I like it Pho. In a league where you can start 4 RB's, which is an awesome little quirk if you're one of the few to take advantage of it, I wish you had another rock-solid starter at RB, but Redman will fill in nicely...if Dwyer doesn't steal that job, which I think is possible.

But Nicks over another RB isn't a bad choice at all, and Thomas in the 5th/6th could be a steal. I just prefer the consistently high floor of starting 4 good RB's weekly in those odd leagues where you CAN start 4.

For instance, my lone redraft this year, a "fish" league like yours where not everyone pays the closest attention or is a great fantasy player, this is my team. Note the huge strength at RB, which as I said I really prefer in a league like this:

RB: McFadden, Mathews, Sproles, Steven Jackson, D. Martin, K. Smith, Ronnie Hillman
WR: Garcon, Torrey Smith, Jon Baldwin, Leonard Hankerson, Steve Smith STL, Amendola

You'll notice that I actually have at least 5 starting RB's, when I can only start 4....well, I was offered a deal of Gronk + Titus Young for Hernandez + Steven Jackson...so I snatched that up in a hurry and am very happy about the "drop" from Gronk to Hernandez. Now I've got major options or trade bait at RB as they start to go down around the league.

Obviously killed these guys, but like I said it was a draft full of guys who aren't as into this as we are.

Pho I like that team alot too. Got pulled into a redraft league as an emergency fill-in, and I feel like I cleaned up in this draft:

Big Ben in the 6th is the only pick I would change. In the 5th I passed on Ryan and Eli to take Trent there, since he was screaming to be taken on potential alone. Both guys got plucked, and I should have waited a few more rounds for Schaub instead. Otherwise I just pillaged the RB depth picks and should have some excellent trade bait around week 7 or 8.

Did my first auction draft last night, Yahoo standard, $200. Very different, those drafts take longer, but fun. Of note, one friend who is getting married in a month missed the draft doing something with his fiance while a second friend managed to attend even though his wife had just given birth. The commitment level is quite varied.
