TDR just messaged me and said you can cut megatron and whoever else you want...... me promise
Hey Pho.....while i'm thinking about this. Can you go ahead and edit a few things into our rules that we didn't get around to including?
First would be the league voting requirements.
League Voting Requirements: For a vote to pass in the offseason, 8 of 12 votes is required. In season rule changes require a unanimous 12 person vote, or they will be shelved until the offseason.
Secondly, I think we need to have our important annual dates noted.
Annual Dates:
Rookie Draft - Our rookie draft will annually begin 24 hours after the conclusion of the real NFL Draft. Whoever is on the clock can make their first pick 24 hours after the end of the real NFL draft without hesitation.
Free Agency: Free agency will annually begin on July 1st via blind bid. Bids can be put in starting on July 1st, and will process the following Wednesday. (bids will actually be able to be submitted the Wednesday prior to July 1st, whatever day that happens to be. But July 1st is date we decided upon for conformity's sake.)
Pho, if you could find some time to edit those three items into our bylaws, it would be greatly appreciated my friend.

oh and hey, i need some advice. How closely do you guys value Victor Cruz and Demarco Murray?
I've been offered a trade....been going back and forth. Right now, i'm being asked for Cruz, Lamar Miller, Stevan Ridley, and a 2013 2nd for Demarco Murray, Alshon Jefferely, 2012 5th rounder, 2013 3rd rounder. That would make my starting RBs Murray and Turner instead of Turner and Ridley. But it would make my starting WR's Fitz/Titus Young/Jeffery as opposed to Fitz/Cruz/Young.
How do you guys feel about those pieces. I like both sides of the deal honestly (player wise that is...not thrilled about the picks)...and i can't figure out if i love Demarco Murray more than Victor Cruz. Tough decision seriously....but as much as I love Murray something is telling me to stay the course with Cruz. Whaddya think?

I'll try to edit everything in, its just remembering to do it when I get home.
What's the scoring system? I might actually make the trade if I were you, though I don't know how valuable draft picks are in your league. Here's why. Assuming traditional scoring, Murray is more valuable that Cruz, since RB's in general are scarcer. I don't care what some pundits say, Hakeem Nicks is the #1 in New York, cruz is not. The #3 there just got downgraded from Mario Manningham to Domenick Hixon, so I'm thinking the defense will be able to concentrate on Cruz more. Ridley may be the #1 back in New England, but that doesn't mean much. You know Vereen will get touches, and Woodhead, and they're going to pass a ton. Hell, I had Green-Ellis last year, he had 10-11 TD's, but only 600 something rush yards. I'm not sure Ridley is that valuable a piece in the NE offense. Lamar Miller is #3/#4 on the Miami depth chart currently.
On the other hand, you'd be getting Alshon Jeffery back in the deal. He's looked good this preseason, and I think he's the #3 already in Chicago, behind a headcase (Brandon Marshall) and a returner (Hester) so he's got a shot for playing time soon, and has good long term value. DeMarco Murray's injury concerns are something that might hold me back, but his 253 yard game would make me salivate. I'd at least consider the deal.
.
I'd consider it, but then I'd turn around and trade Cruz to me instead. Hint hint.
I'm compliant. And Drop, do the trade. Miller is a more talented back than Murray and doesn't have the overall injury concerns. Also, Cruz won't have the same season he did last year...EVER AGAIN. Who gets ~6 TDs of over 40 yards? That's the fallacy that made people draft CJ2K #1 overall after that epic season. Jeffery is basically the #2 and he's got potential. Plus, Titus Young is going to blow up with Calvin on the other side. Ridley is gravy on top.

Oh, and awesome stat by Matthew Berry that people may or may not have seen: take away every single touchdown Gronk scored last season, and he's STILL the #2 overall TE in standard scoring.

I'm not a huge fan of either Cruz or Murray, but the chance to get ahold of a workhorse back is hard to pass up.
My turn for advice. Should I trade Marshall for Garcon and draft picks? I'm leaning towards it. Its a standard scoring league, non PPR, which means Marshalls great season with Cutler wasnt that great. This is huge homerism but I could see Pierre passing him next season.
RIP Blake (royallypwned)
i took a look at your roster before eventually working out a deal with John. But i just really like both Murray and Jeffery.
And thanks for the input on the trade fellas, i appreciate it. I ended up dealing Cruz/L. Miller/S. Ridley/2013 2nd for Murray/Alshon/B. Hoyer/2013 4th/2014 3rd.
Also, thanks for getting your rosters cut down and in short order league, appreciate it. Good work. Now get ready to have your asses handed to you all year long.

TDR, i don't know if you were drunk or just completely confused....but your trade comment made absolutely no sense buddy. hahaha

Oh crap, I definitely read that too fast. Don't do the trade.
Cruz > Jeffery
Ridley + Miller > Murray
2nd > 3rd + 5th
That's probably more true for dynasty as opposed to redraft, but I'd still hesitate in redraft if it were just the players.

Here's how I break it down:
Murray = Cruz
Jeffery > Miller/Ridley
'13 2nd > '14 4th/'13 3rd/Hoyer (MAYBE...nobody knows what happens with those picks or if Hoyer lands somewhere)
TDR you don't seem too high on Murray. I think he's a stud and he's got top 5 written all over him eventually. People will remember who Demarco Murray is when this season is all said and done instead of a guy like Ryan Mathews in my opinion.
Oh and league, i've turned off blind bid auctioning and our waiver system is now in place for the regular season.

Nothing personal Pho....i just see Mathews and Murray as VERY comparable. They're the same tier of RB below the elite guys if you ask me. They're both young studs. They both have injury questions.
But if I had to pick one of the two...give me Demarco Murray all day every day. I love his game. Mathews is a beast when healthy...but i'm concerned that the poor kid is made of glass.
