Auction is the way to go in my opinion.

I think the tradional waivers system provides too much of an advantage to the teams that start slow each year. Fantasy football is different from the NFL in that there are legitimate FAs who can help fantasy teams immediately. I think we should give each fantasy manager an equal opportunity to improve his team each year by leveling the playing field on access to FAs, and that means instituting an auction system.

After our most recent set of claims this week, our waiver order seems to be random, and incorrect.

The team who has the 4th waiver wire position (Power Bottoms) started at 3rd, made no claims, was awarded no players, and yet he somehow moved down to 4th from 3rd. ???

Can Flea Flicker take a look and make sure our waivers are working properly in the Extreme Skins Dynasty League? We'd really appreciate it, thanks!

Looks correct here:

all 3-1 - worst claims

1. terrible - drops, claim

2. hepta - drops, claim

3. charm

4. With a dude - drops claim

all 2-2 in order of claim from best position when your tiebreakers are applied (remember to skip H2H unless all were swept by one team or one team swept all, does not happen here and Power being in the own division defaults to where they are using PF):

1. dj jersey - drops claim

2. puny

3. dont make me

4. power

5. karousing

other teams with worse records

10. adrenaline

11. reality - drops claim

12. kung foo - drops claim

add them up:

adrenaline

puny

dont make me

power - 4th position is right...

Wow, Yahoo is so uncomplicated. Whoever drafted last gets #1 Waiver priority, and anyone who makes a claim is cycled to last position. This makes my head spin, but whatever, at least I know I lost out on Bolden legitimately.

That would only make sense if our waivers reset every week and went worst-to-first. That's just how they are supposed to START the season.

It should be a rolling order after that. Right?

I never made any changes that involved waivers. and kurs waiver section in our bylaws isn't helpful at all.

really? That's really, really stupid. This goes to the top of my agenda in the offseason if the blind bidding doesn't pass. Waivers that reset take ALL of the strategy out of it. Completely. No need to decide whether to use your top priority or hold onto it and wait for FCFS.

Not directed at you of course CCFF. It's the system!
