Matt, if he emailed you before kickoff and you can show it to the rest of the league, you should honor his request. simple. anyone else could have emailed you with changes if they so chose.

I think you should honor it. Other members could have done the same. I thought about doing it once I saw Givens was inactive but I didn't know who I would replace him with. I was actually able to cut Givens and pick up Kevin Walter right before STL kicked off on Yahoo.
Need some commish advice as well. Keep in mind this is a very competitive money league.
One player didn't pay so he was removed from the league and all of his players were moved to the bench, making his team the bye week basically. Problem is it's a 12 person league, with 13 weeks. So therefore each team plays two teams twice (weeks 12 and 13). The schedule is made completely randomly at the beginning of the year. So therefore two randomly selected teams are going to face the bye week twice. Both teams are competitive and in the playoff hunt. IMO it's completely unfair to let those teams face the bye week twice just because they were randomly selected.
IMO the best option is to go in and just put the best starting lineup in for the "Bye week" team for the final two weeks of the season and let the game play out. There's also the option of editing the schedule so that two teams already eliminated from the playoffs would face the bye week team, making those games have no affect on the playoff standings. But then you get into the problem of having to reschedule the other two team's games and that can lead to some problems...
If you guys have any thoughts on this or any other options I may have over looked please let me know!

that's just ****ty league management. season shouldn't have happened with a team thats got no owner. i don't know b&g. don't mean to be harsh but none of that seems fair to me.
So with my season looking more bleak, I'm willing to field offers for Stafford, CJ2K, Lloyd, and just about anyone else. Not saying I'll trade these guys, but if the offer is right, I might have to pull the trigger.
I mean yeah but not everyone is as obsessed with fantasy sports as we are. It's a frat league full of 20-22 year old drunk guys. There's only so many times I'm going to call/text people who I don't see on a regular basis to pay their money, so these things happen. Trying to get half these idiots to pay was like a full time job as it was. After like the 5th call reminding that the deadline is approaching it just gets to the point where it's easier to go through a season with one less member.
Obviously not the situation anyone wanted to be in but we're here now. Any suggestions would be helpful as I respect atleast a few of you guy's opinions

So my time in Denver has made me absent around here this season, but I'm glad I saw this and got a decent idea for you.
As long as everyone gets a turn with the easy team, then it's not a BS commish move to turn off the free pass come week 12. However, switching it back to optimal seems kinda harsh, and setting a lineup by group consensus or just commish opinion is not too cool either. How about setting starters to his best performing players (by season totals) at each position? To me that seems like a pretty impartial way to set a lineup for that slacker in weeks 12 and 13, and let the weekly matchups play out from there.

^^^Good to see you Riggo, and that is a good point. Thanks for the input.
i agree with 28. i think you're stuck.
Thanks for the input guys, we've come to a league wide decision. Resume ES league talk.
Ah...well if we're resuming league talk, I feel like I have something I should say. I've grown to like and care for each of you, so here it is. If any of you are married currently, or get married in the future, and suffer a debilitating car (or other) accident which leaves you in a vegetative state, I will willingly **** your wife for you so that she can know what pleasure is. If you'd prefer, you can sit in the other room and listen as she makes noises you could never get out of her. That's just my gift to you because you're all such good people.![]()
