Hey, any of you jackwagons want to join another league? I have one going on with my friends that is always 10 or 12 people each year, standard Yahoo scoring, and everyone generally participates though as we've aged, we talk a lot less trash. GOSKN5 has played with us the past few seasons and has done passably well, but he hasn't answered my PM so he may not be interested anymore. Anyway, we've got nine guys right now, so we need 1 or 3 more.

The main difference this year is that we're going to try an online auction draft, which will be new to many of the participants. I believe it's Yahoo's standard positions and a $200 limit.

Sorry to bring this up late, but I think it needs to be dealt with eventually.

The LBs should get 4 pts per sack and they currently only get 3.

Demarcus Ware is in the top 3 in my other league where we moved from 3 pts per sack to 4 for LBs.

We have the same rule set as that league otherwise, which has Demarcus ranked at 12th.

I should have brought this up earlier after we made the change in my other league but it wasnt until now that I sat down and looked at the differences.

At the least I think we should vote in the offseason to raise the pts rewards per sack from 3 to 4 points for LBs. I bring this up now because if we can agree that it is something that needs to be done so that the rules more accurately reflect the value of players, shouldnt we consider just doing it now? Also, this is the first year that we are enacting the IDP rule change so I dont think its so bad to have a little leeway in adjusting the rules. Maybe this would require a unanimous vote considering we've already started picking our LBs for this season.

What do you guys think?

My disclaimer is that I do not have a sack heavy LB on my roster. I feel responsible for these new rules and I want them to be right so other team managers will feel that the rules accurately reflect player value. If I owned Demarcus Ware, Aldon Smith, or Von Miller I would feel that the rules did not reflect those players' value.

Hmmm. I think I'd go with Murray or Charles. Both injury prone though. Think I'd lean Murray just because I have a feeling Hillis will be more involved in the KC offense.

Need some advice:

In a 12-team PPR league where QBs get 6pts/TD, I have the #2 pick. Who do I take? QB or RB?

For some reference, Brees was the top scoring QB last year at 572. Rice was the top RB at 409.

They might score more points in general than RB's, but you're still only starting one QB, so the value doesn't change that much. Take one of the top-3RB's, unless you just have to have Rodgers. I think the gap between Foster/Rice/McCoy and a lesser RB1 is MUCH larger than the gap between Brees/Rodgers/Brady and a lesser QB1.

I'd rather have one of the big 3 at RB and a QB at the 2/3 turn or later than Rodgers/Brees and whichever RB is left at the 2/3 turn. No question.

Yeah I'm torn. I'd really like to have Rice for sure. But if I could land Cam or Stafford in the 2nd, I'd be ok with that.

I love Cam, but with pass-TD heavy scoring I'd look elsewhere. His rushing numbers give you less of an advantage in a league like that.

I'd ideally like Stafford in the 2nd or 3rd but don't know if he'll last long enough
