3. The PS squad deserves special de-merit. I'm sorry, but in the NFL, claiming someone off another teams PS doesn't happen in a clandestine fashion, they are made aware of it. When this league started, I tried reading the messge board on Fleaflicker, but people were posting so damned much that it became impossible to follow. I haven't looked at that message board in over a year.

well, on that one. last year it was used for a bunch of pointless crap. but so far its been nothing but PS claims and IR notices. so theres not a bunch of pointless stuff anymore.

YES.

BUT, this is what we all agreed to, and signed up for. We all knew it would be a small pain in the ass to do it that way, but it's the best thing we could come up with, and agree upon.

Now personally, i would MUCH rather keep the PS and IR the way they are, and have to check seperate rosters as opposed to doing away with those aspects all together.

If we get rid of the PS and IR, we've esentially torn down the uniqueness of this dynasty league, which we all had a hand in creating.

Gentleman, this isn't your basic one and done on Yahoo. I use Yahoo for every other league i'm in, and prefer it over flea flicker.....however, we can always change our league from Flea Flicker to Yahoo if we truely desire to do so.

We've all known about, and for the most part, had a hand in how the rules have been made. I'm even including the new guys, because it's their responsibility to GET UP on the rules and how things work before they start jumping in and playing. Again, this league is more complicated than most, it's not a typical one and done.

Now i certainly understand Pho's frustration. And if he wants to leave the league, so be it. I just think that we all need to take a breather, think about how we can improve things, and talk about it.

But if someone drops out of this league everytime they get pissed off because they weren't paying attention, then pretty soon we won't have anyone playing.

I find it amazing that guys like GOSKNS, B&G, and SKINSNUT rarely chime in on a regular basis (so you'd think they have the least idea of what's going on), yet they never have any complaints about the rules, or the setup or this or that. They just do their thing, and play every week. And somehow, they manage to do 99% of it (*cough*SkinsNuts invalid PS last week*cough*, lol) within the rules quite consistently.

I think we're getting a little carried away is all. This league is not poorly run or operated. Is it confusing at times? Um, hell yes. It's a dynasty league. Not everything is going to be as cut and dry as a typical one-and-done Yahoo league.

And if Pho really is leaving....any chance we can have Stosh back???

Yeah, I couldn't have said it better Drop. The PS and IR are fine, but are people really feeling that inconvenienced by having to press CTRL + N to open up a new page and then press CTRL + F to search the roster thread? Four key strokes doesn't seem that bad to me...just sayin'.

Yeah, there might be a better way to catalog it all in one place, so let's find that way.

i've always felt that it's BS to put a non-injured player on the IR. I really really enjoy the practice squad. Gives me a chance to have guys that I'm high on that are simply fliers and don't have much value

At the end of the season, the original owner will have the choice to receive compensation or the player returned to him.

Compensation and reverse compensation will follow the scale below. A players’ points per game average will be determined by taking the total number of fantasy point and dividing by the number of games played. (note that fractional points will NOT be rounded).

0-6.99 points per game: 3rd round pick
7-12.99 points per game: 2nd round pick
13+ points per game: 1st round pick

Alright, apparently I missed a lot of this stuff the last few days.

I agree with Pho, the whole PS claiming thing is retarded. Honestly, I hardly ever look at the Flea Flicker message board because it just looks like a bunch of rambling.

Apparently, just as he lost Glenn Coffee, I lost Shonn Greene.

Had I known about it, I never would have let it go thru but in the end I didnt see the claim until it was too late. And the only reason I went on the FF message board was to check if a guy I want was on IR.

I know it was done within the rules and all but the whole process just seems shady. Its like you place a claim and hope the other owner doesn't do anything for 48 hours so you get the player. I think both owners should at least have to acknowledge the claim before the 48 hours begin.

But I guess its wish in one hand and **** in the other at least for this season. However, this certainly is an area that needs to be addressed in the offseason.

EDIT: Damn Pho, I just re-read your post and its like we share a brain. I agree 100% with just about everything you said.
This is my first year using Flea Flicker and I can't stand it to be honest. Everything just looks so second rate compared to Yahoo. But whatever, I'll deal.

I already have made a few rule suggestions for the PS:

1) You must notify the owner of the player you're claiming through PM & E-mail (if his address is made available)

2) At the time the claim is made, you must decide then and there if you would like to retain the claimed player or if you'll take the compensation at end of the season. No more waiting til the end of the year to decide if you want the player or the compensation.



And while we're on the subject....what do we do if someone claims a PS player but doesn't have the necessary drafts pick to compensate? I only have a 3rd round pick in next years draft. Would i be required to attain the appropriate pick? Could the owner and I work out a compensation package?

28, I agree with you points...and I think we have a system in place if you don't have the appropriate compensating pick. Kur might be able to expound.

Also, not to be a prick to the new guys, but the reason we told you guys to read the rules is because we wouldn't want you to get surprised by a claim. Admittedly, it sucks to have to check in on it, but it's only Tuesday through Thursday. Also, it's not a shady process because it's outlined in the rules explicitly. Maybe we can grant you guys leniency this time...I wouldn't be against that.

As far as yahoo vs. Fleaflicker, I like FF because it's no frills, but one of the reasons we are using it because it can accomodate our large rosters...yahoo cannot as far as I know.
