If i were you, i'd go edit that stupid post you made, and hope he keeps him there long enough to attempt your claim again next week....that is if it isn't too late, and i don't beat you to it. ha!

And we all know TDR's definitley down for some hand holding. I'm surprised he hasn't purposely done something blatantly wrong yet to get my attention.

I always have the option of moving him off...I'm not sure I get 28's obsession with him, Cassel is playing week one last I heard. I can only surmise that it is my roster in general (or me) that has 28 intrigued, since he's always pestering me for my players. Or it's a testament to my great drafting.

Regardless, let's not forget what we agreed on either last season or two seasons ago, a PM would be nice since I don't always read the FF board.

Oh, it's also worth noting, even if I were to let Stanzi go and then not take him back at the end of the season, I already own almost all of 28's picks in next years draft anyway.

Just letting everyone know, i've gone ahead and switched us off of the blind bid system, and over to our regular in-season waiver wire system.

can you also change the roster number size after everyone is in compliance? So we dont have those extra spots at the bottom, its too hard to resist putting in claims!!

Yeah we can do that as soon as everyone is down to 30.

And just as a note: everyone's roster is in compliance right now except CCFF, CMill, and B&G. And that's fine, they still have by midnight tonight to get their rosters shaved down.

Man. Talk about a bad year to acquire the top-3 picks.

I know you weren't around from the beginning of this league noob, but allow me to enlighten you. My superstars come later in the rebuilding phase, my talent accumulation occurs now, and in the later rounds of the draft. Consider:

2008 Rookie Draft, Round 2, Pick 11: Jerod Mayo, one of the best young LB's in the league

2008 Rookie Draft, Round 3, Pick 7: Jordy Nelson, flipped to 28 for a pair of 2nd round picks, if memory serves.

2009 Rookie Draft, Round 1, Pick 10: Glen Coffee, flipped to GOSKN5 for at least a 1st round pick, possibly more, can't remember now. Retired soon after.

2009 Rookie Draft, Round 2, Pick 10: Josh Freeman, stud starting QB with a decade of brilliance ahead of him

2010 Rookie Draft, Round 1, Picks 1-3: Ryan Matthews is splitting time, though I'm not sure why you mock Spiller. He's the starting RB in Buffalo right now. Clausen over Bradford I can't defend. However...

2010 Rookie Draft, Round 3, Pick 2: James Starks. Now I cut this guy admittedly, gave up on him too early, but I had the initial eye for talent to grab a future starting RB in the 3rd round.

2011 Rookie Draft, Round 2, picks 1 and 4: Kendall Hunter and Delone Carter. After taking A.J. Green #1 overall, thus securing myself a future stud at WR, and allowing you Conn, yes you, to have Mark Ingram and his potential knee issues, I waited till the second round to grab two future starting RB's, one who is backing up injury risk/contract demanding Frank Gore, the other backing up injury prone Joseph Addai. Check the websites, they've both surpassed the competition and are both solidly penciled in as the #2 backs on both teams. Eventually, they will take over.

My late round drafting and trading are beautiful things to behold, the seeds of young talent have been sown throughout my roster. Very soon, I will make you cry like the baby you are, my team will do everything short of murdering yours in the near future, you will commit seppuku out of shame, and I will find your grave and take a massive, just had Mexican food dump on it.

Cmill's roster is straight now. Just waiting on CCFF and B&G.

And actually Pho....Glen Coffee was a FLOP of a draft choice. lol, you lucked out and traded him before he quit. Had you never traded him, that would have looked like one of the worst draft picks ever.

I included him to highlight my drafting and trading prowess. And to lead up to the big payoff of taking a dump on Conn's grave. Or pissing in him mouth while he's still alive. His choice.

Man, where to start with this big gooey pile of ego. I'll break it down piece-by-piece.

Verdict: This was a nice pick.

2008 Rookie Draft, Round 3, Pick 7: Jordy Nelson, flipped to 28 for a pair of 2nd round picks, if memory serves.
What did you do with these 2nds? Jordy Nelson will be a good player in GB, but he's not a good fantasy WR even going into his 4th year. James Jones, Jordy Nelson, and Randall Cobb will all consistently kill each others value, for the next 3-4 years still. And that's not even mentioning Driver being around for this year.

Verdict: Decent draft pick in the 3rd. Nothing to brag about. Nice trade, if you got value out of those two 2nds.

2009 Rookie Draft, Round 1, Pick 10: Glen Coffee, flipped to GOSKN5 for at least a 1st round pick, possibly more, can't remember now. Retired soon after.
Horrible draft pick. I'm not going to give you DRAFT credit for accidentally trade-raping someone. I mean, you tripped and fell ass-first into some luck here. Come on.

    Verdict: Embarrassing.

2009 Rookie Draft, Round 2, Pick 10: Josh Freeman, stud starting QB with a decade of brilliance ahead of him
Good eye. I'll admit that he reminded me of Jason Campbell too much to really give a chance that year. But he's proven to have a much higher ceiling.

Verdict: Really excellent draft pick here.

2010 Rookie Draft, Round 1, Picks 1-3: Ryan Matthews is splitting time, though I'm not sure why you mock Spiller. He's the starting RB in Buffalo right now. Clausen over Bradford I can't defend.
Matthews has been disappointing, but he's still got hope. Spiller is NOT the starter in BUF, do your research more thoroughly. They keep giving him every opportunity to take the starting job from Jackson, and he can't. They even gave his KR duties to Brad Smith as well. He'll catch a lot of balls if you're lucky. Clausen was, obviously, a disaster. But I respect you going with your gut on him, even if it was wrong. That's ballsy drafting and admirable.

All in all, NOT the kind of class you want when you're rebuilding and acquire all top-3 picks in a given year. Just a bad year, talent-wise. Imagine having those picks this past draft with Green, Julio, and Ingram. Much better, as long as you didn't reach on Williams or LeShoure in the top-3 instead. That would suck.

    Verdict: Very disappointing.

2010 Rookie Draft, Round 3, Pick 2: James Starks. Now I cut this guy admittedly, gave up on him too early, but I had the initial eye for talent to grab a future starting RB in the 3rd round.
Nice job. But what good is a decent draft pick if you cut him loose too soon? Not to mention that he hasn't proven he's a future starting RB yet. The unspectacular Grant came back and took the starting job immediately.

Anyways, you can't afford to let ANY prospect you believe in go. And if you didn't believe in him as a prospect, then you just happened to fall into drafting him. Making it luck, and not skill. I don't believe for a second that you had the "initial eye" to draft him, and then cut him loose with the roster you have, and had then. Yeah right. That's some revisionist history **** right there. Massage that ego, buddy.

Verdict: Lucky pick, gave up on too soon.

Green: Excellent pick, but its what anyone would have done.

Hunter and Carter, now THOSE were good picks, and the type that you need more of. Good work here. But I don't need to check the websites, I already knew that Donald Brown and Anthony Dixon were garbage, and that Hunter and Carter are talented enough to play in this league. And I watched some of them in preseason. (In fact, if I'm being honest, I was PISSED when the Skins traded up to the top of the 4th only to draft Helu over Hunter)

As for Ingram...I already flipped him to 28, but his knee hasn't been even a slight problem since he's been a Saint. Not even a peep about it.

Verdict: Very good picks, and good value.

You've been rebuilding for years at this point. Here's the worthwhile guys on your roster:

    QB: Freeman, Schaub
RB: Mathews, Spiller, Green-Ellis, Carter, Hunter
WR: Holmes, Green, Benn, Doss, Moore
    TE: Olsen

Not shabby, but you'd be expecting all these 1st round picks to pay off by now, so that they all come together a couple years after being drafted and fill your team with studs. Not seeing it. I'm also not seeing your "late-round drafting and trading" as being as dominant as you seem to think, as explained above.

I like to call a roster like this a "perpetual rebuild". You've been rebuilding for the majority of this league's existence. I like you Forehead. But you brought the heat with this post. Had to respond.

As Drop pointed out, I actually traded Jordy Nelson for two second round picks AND Lance Moore. I haven't done anything with the picks yet, they're for next year.

And for the love of God, why do you people keep underrating Jason Avant? The man catches everything in his area and is part of a dynamic offense with two other receivers who are brittle. You all wish you had Avant. WISH IT!!!!
