I gotta agree with Conn here. It's kind of inexcusable to pick up Orlovsky and not start him over Freeman. If it even looks like Freeman might not play, you have the guy who you know WILL start, in your lineup, ready to go. Then, if the questionable guy ends up playing, you can put him in. But to leave the guy in who's questionable, only to figure, "well i'll take him out if he doesn't play", but then actually LEAVE him in there....not cool.
I don't know if I agree that there's some action we can take in this instance though. We have nothing in the rules about it, so I think it's something we need to look at correcting. Conn is right, there needs to be something done to discourage tanking and to prevent all these holes in lineups that have happened this season. Not playing a QB because it can only help you, or not playing a RB when there are plenty of guys who could be picked up on the waiver wire who AT LEAST have the possibility to get you a point or two is kind of ridiculous.
And further more, being that we're on our 4th season, this may be as good an offseason as any to evaluate everyone's participation level and begin figuring out who is really interested in this league and who isn't. There's been half a league's worth of bare mininmum participation this season, and some of us have noticed it and talked to each other about it already. Might be time to figure out what direction to go with this league fellas.
