    Default What about Javon Walker?

It's obvious that danny is going to get a no. 1 receiver this offseason.

So, i was thinking... what about javon walker? he wants out of denver, and he would come at a much cheaper pricetag than ocho cinco.

and if healthy, walker is a very very good receiver.

So many question marks with that guy though. But, I dont know enough to rule him out, I doubt he is a big enough name for Snyder but Denver and Green bay both ran WCO when he was there.

hes a great reciever and i really like him. but staying healthy is something he isnt very consistent with. always prone to injury. i would love to have him in dc but with his injuries we might just be paying him to sit on the bench wrapped up and bandaged

His knee is iffy. But I don't like that he regularly likes to get out of town.

Come to think of it, I think Anti-85s are confusing Johnson with Walker- Walker openly throws his team under the bus.

His knee is gimpy, his attitude sucks and he is under contract with the Broncos. Remember how well the last transaction we had went with them. I don't want to get swindled for a 2nd round pick again.

He has great talent but it all depends on the health of his knee. I wouldn't go near him unless I was sure his knee was fully recovered.

Javon cannot hold a stick to Chad Johnson. People can say what they want but if we are going to get a receiver I want Chad. He is the best route runner in the game. He takes huge hits and gets right back up. He has no injury history yet he sacrifices his body week after week. He is a true #1.

yeah, what a winning attitude that guy has. Didn't Favre and the Pack rightfully kick his ungrateful a** outta Green Bay? He's a chronic malcontent (from everything I've read).

Definitely. Chad Johnson is on a completely different level than Javon Walker. My only concern is Johnson's age at 30. However, both Randy Moss and T.O. have played well despite being 30+.

I believe Javon Walker is about 30 too, and Mike Shanahan said he would need microfracture surgery in at most 2 years.

Generally speaking, with microfracture surgery your career is over!

Javon wants another big contract before he rides off into the sunset. I would say no to Javon.

Chad Johnson on the other hand is putting up HOF numbers. Big difference.

It sounds like a safe gamble to me, if we're smart about it. As said, Walker's stock is low. We could get him for a song, theoretically, like the Patriots getting Moss last year. I'm for it.
