For me family is implied. Anyone who has a child knows what I mean,, it's not even necessary to say it.
I'm not one who comes from a good family background. I haven't got a relationship with either of my parents. I know a lot of you better than I know my father, and my relationship with my mother is polite, and that's about it. I have a sister, and we're polar opposites.

My kin are the family I'm stuck with. I didn't choose them, and frankly I'm so different than most of them I'd never have chosen them if given choice (and vice versa).

My wife and my son are the most precious things in my life. Without question. But like I said, in reading the question, I figured that was understood. Almost everyone with a family will say it, so I figured to go a little beyond that.

Good post. I have to admit, I wait for the other shoe to drop on EVERYONE. We all wear two.

Right. And that's why I said beer. Damn I loves me some beer.
...and I always wondered 'why can't he stay dead?' It doesn't change any good thing that he said. What matters is his life and not how he died. Why can't he just be a nice Jewish guy? - Tommy Womack

My family. Namely my Mom. She's dealt with so much over the years and yet she still carries herself w/dignity and grace.
