LOL almost every candidate does that . . . unless you haven't been paying attention. That is politics 101. You don't want to leave doubt in voters minds by saying "if".

I don't want empty platitudes, give me details on your future failings.

If we are gonna go there expound on your shortcomings or STFU

Isn't that pretty much a pre-requisite for someone running for POTUS?

Oh ok, I figure anyone who believes that 9/11 was an inside job will believe anything . . . so my apologies.

Who knows? It could all just be more of his jibberish. I think it speaks directly to his supporters but it also paints him as president, telling it like it is.

Personally, I think the admission of fault is a strong charicter trait.

I'm a 30/70 9/11 guy.....I lean more toward authenticity rather than a set up FYI.

Not completely sure what that means but like I said I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Don't know, I see good things in Obama. But McCain has said some things that make me think I might vote Republican for the first time since Bush 1.

    I wouldn't be too sure.

Obama is way left, but people don't care. He's got people lining up left and right for to vote for him and they don't even know why they're excited about him. They just know they hate Bush, therefore hate Republicans and won't even consider what they have to say. They think that in order to "fix" everything that has gone wrong over the past 8 years they have to go in the polar opposite direction.

Hilary has too much baggage with her to turn people off. Obama provides a positive personality, charisma and youth. And that excites people.

McCain is old, white, Republican...and by default, evil. At least thats the way people like to see things.

McCain doesn't win in a landslide. I think the "landslide" days are over.

Congrats, Dubya. Thanks for ****ing up the GOP for the past 8 years and making people think that all Conservatives believe in what you believe in. Way to go.

I agree. good for obama. self realization is a helluva thing
The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."

Come on SS . . . you have to give a LITTLE more credit to some of us supporters than that.

Well, I'd go out on a limb and say that was true for at least 5 of the first 8 years.
