    MTH-

Did you ever figure out what kind of uniforms the Giants wear? Is it some new space age spandex?

It is unfortunate that nflauctions calls these jerseys "authentic" since it is confusing with the retail "authentics". You have to be careful as I believe there are both Reebok retail authentics as well as Ripon game authentics on nflauctions and the only way sometimes you can tell the difference is looking for the year/size rectangle in the neck area. Their photos and descriptions are not complete. I did get an autographed Orakpo on nflauctions for $230; it is a size 48 while the real size he wears is 46. It is a Ripon though.
It's possible they purposely mis-size the non-game worn so-called-authentic jerseys to keep them from being mistaken for gamers.

Note the old NFL logo even though the tag is 11-48. Also note that it is a 48...I got a 48 Orakpo on NFL Auctions and thought that he wore a 46.

Finally, why are all the 9/11 patches removed from the jerseys? This is quite disappointing. I was hoping to get a lesser player down the road.

If you caught the commercials on 9/11 you will recall them saying the jerseys would be up on NFL Auctions. In fact, Fred Davis' jersey was up on NFL Auctions and I think another player as well but I can't recall. I'm thinking that
JO must have complained since they have the contract. In response, the Redskins took off the patches so they can do other things with them...maybe fabricating some sort of 9/11 objects that can be auctioned off on NFL Auctions.

    Just my theory.

I just got myself my first gamer for Christmas from JO Sports. I went with Marko Mitchell because my first name is Mitchell. Can't beat it for $75 either.

That is nice. I really like these gamers and want to get more, but I have other things to spend my money on first.

Hello everyone, let me quickly introduce myself. Bleed burgundy, piss gold, so i had to join this forum after being a fan since 03. I love owning the closest thing to whats worn on the field. I cant quite yet financially acquire game worns, or atleast the ones i would want but at the moment im fine with what retail provides us with. I only own one authentic jersey (excluding mitchell and ness Jurgensen and doug williams) in which is a Burgundy Brian Orakpo bought directly from the Redskins (Reebok) in August. Im now in the hunt for authentic retail jerseys that i have missed since becoming a fan. Includes the 2002 alternate jersey with patch, 75th ann. patch jersey in alternate or regular style, and any sean taylor authentics in a size 46-S (small). Im pretty sure its known that size 46 is usually scarce in the retail jersey world, It took the redskins until the second year of brian's career to make a 46 available for purchase. 46 is almost never readily available but i have now accepted this burden and have to continually be aware.

Well i have run across a portis authentic jersey that im interested in, but i cant quite tell for certian if its authentic or another knock off. I saw this thread, and felt it would be the perfect place to find out if this jersey is the real mccoy or not. thank you guys for the lesson so far, have learned a good amount on here and hope i can get some help with a legit check on this one.

It has to be at least 4-5 years old, since the NFL logos changed after 2007. The retail logos might have been a little late to catch up though. It's the old style nylon jersey, not the newer spandex style. Yes, they made them in Korea back then. It looks legit to me. If I could get a sharp closeup of the REDSKINS on the chest, I'd know for sure.

The shield is definitely crooked on that jersey. Looks legit though. I cannot believe that for $230 they cannot even sew the shield on straight. The "Redskins" embroidery and the 6 appears crooked also. The 6 could just appear crooked because of that slight fold in the fabric.

Isn't Nike making jerseys next year? I wonder when the new designs will get unveiled? Will Reebok stop making replicas?

Thank you mark, when i first looked at it, to my naked eye, everything looked legit, multiple pictures and nothing looks terribly off. The REDSKINS on the chest, particularly the "N" was what kind of made me skeptical because it was a bit long on both top and bottom of the letter. I requested a close up picture of it, but the seller still hasnt responded to me at all. So im not sure if i should just keep pushing for the picture or if the pictures he has now are evidence enough that it is a legit jersey.

Indeed nike is going to pick up the NFL jersey contract (excited). Its nike, so we have to expect a major build up to the unveiling of whatever they are going to do. Teaser commericals, facebook, twitter, the marketing campaign that will be shoved down our throats will commence soon. And i would definitely think so with NIke picking up the deal, that reebok wouldnt be allowed to make replicas. If you like reebok replicas, months down the year, will be a great time to buy them where as you'll probably be able to grab em for 10 bucks.

I hope Nike doesn't completely revamp the Redskins jersey. I don't want to look at some NCAA cartoonish crap.

    Hi all,

Does anyone have a good source to get numbers to sew onto authentic jerseys? Ive toyed with the idea of trying to strip the 56 off my Lavar authentic from NFL shop and create my own custom jersey.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Am I a damn fool?
