Was at Virginia Bazzar yesterday down in Carolina County and was walking by a kiosk and saw a Cooley jersey hanging up and from first glance I said man that looks like a Premiere Jersey. I walked up and looked closer and it was, decided to inspect the price tag and saw $25.00. I laughed and said no way is a premiere jersey that cheap. Asked the guy and said that's the correct price, I bought it and figured that when I get home I will compare it to my three premieres that I have which were bought at the Redskins Store.

Inspected.....identical! There were absolute no red flags or concerns anywhere on the jersey. Sooooo good steal for me!

I am not surprised it was that cheap. There has been much talk of Cooley being let go
the last couple of years plus the jersey are switching to Nike next year.

For the record Virginia Bazzar is just a huge flea market type thing. I doubt that guy has any "knowledge" of Cooley being gone. This guy was not really a sports man either I tried to talk some sports with him and it was not really going very well.

I don't know if this has been covered in this thread already, but does anybody know when the team orders it's new jerseys for the upcoming season? Also, are the real game jerseys first worn during the first preseason game (I think this is the case), or is there a scrimmage or two that occurs before the first preseason game every year during which the game jerseys are worn? I'm specifically most interested in the era of Reebok-sponsored jerseys, but if anybody has any info regarding earlier eras of jerseys, that would be interesting as well. Thanks.

I've never heard dates, but I'd imagine they're ordered in late summer and re-ordered as the roster is finalized. For example, "presentation" jerseys of acclaimed trades are normally jerseys from the previous year. And yes, jerseys are worn during pre-season, and then worn again during the regular season - assuming, of course, the player survives the cuts.

You see the elastic at the waste. I think that is amazing. Me, personally, I hate how baggy jerseys are. That would be a cool combo, elastic sleeves and elastic waste. Thats how I like my jerseys. C'mon Nike, make it happed. I hope Authentic will be like that.

    Thanks SOUP for the sig!!

Sweet jersey above. Is that the one from the Arizona game? if so, it's been up for a while. I was tempted to get it, but I already have one of his from '05 that I like a lot. How many do I need, you know?

That was a great win. Arizona went to the SB that year, you'll remember.

And yes, we are seeing more and more of these elastic waist bands. Players like them because they don't have to tuck their jerseys in.

To rephrase my second question from above, are the real game jerseys ever worn Before the first preseason game, like during a scrimmage against another team, or is the first preseason game the First time they are worn each year? Thanks.

I guess it's age, but I kind of miss football jersey's with actual sleeves. The "sleeves" or "holes" the Giants linemen wear are atrocious. I'm not sure why you need elastci on the waist unless a player doesn't like his shirt tucked in and it gives him better movement. But, I still don't see how those guys move in those jerseys. They look TOO tight. I've seen them trying to get them off and I'd panic trying to get them on or off.

First off I wanna say hi! Long time lurker who just finally has the ca-hones to post

I received a Silver/Black Santana Moss Jersey as a gift recently...and I have absolutely no clue if its real/fake, what kind of alternate it is and couldn't find anything searching all over google!. The person who bought it lives in Maryland so I'm thinking it maybe from a Skins Store up there? I'm not much of a Jersey person anymore honestly (haven't bought one in 4 years, prefer good ole Shirts/Polo's) but I do not remember ever seeing a Silver Alternate released so I'm pretty much in the dark here.

If anyone could help identify it, I would appreciate it big time just so I can know what I have. Pics are below/attached

With retail jerseys, who knows? Anything goes. But I've never seen an "8" that looks like that. Just sayin'....

They will be available on April 15th. Should be better quality but we shall see.

Hey guys, with regards to availability of jersey's for top draft picks, in the past have they been available right after the draft? Obviously I'm thinking of the Griffin III jersey, and specifically I'm interested in the Nike Elite (authentic) version. Now according to Nike, they (the Elite jerseys) are available for purchase on April 27th, the day after the draft. Obviously the player jerseys for the Skins that are a given on launch day are guys like Orakpo, Cooley, etc., but I think we can all agree that Nike's hottest selling Washington jersey (by a huge long shot) will be that of RG3.

So any guesses as to when we might see that jersey available for purchase?? I mean if Nike were smart, they'd take orders for it day one, especially in the Elite version, as they should end up selling five RG3 jerseys for every one Orakpo jersey. And I do understand that technically Nike has to wait until the draft is official before they can start making them. And for that matter, Nike may not even know if Griffin is planning to go with the "III" on the nameplate (though he probably has to given that there is another Griffin on the team).

Or, maybe the Elite jersey ordering will be done in a custom format, so you can make up any one you'd like, which takes the pressure off of Nike a bit....hmmm...
