This is ridiculous for NIKEa multi-billion dollar company that has limited itself in adding to profits. I have heard that they will NOT make the elite in the "throwback" 80th anniversary jersey. Can someone with information elaborate / confirm this? Also, why not have the anniversary patch on all redskins jersey's this season?

I can't stand Nike. They force people to kill each other other limited release shoes. Now this. I wish Reebok was still the jersey provider.

Interesting the NFLShop has released its own house brand of jersey called Pro-line. So far they only feature Redskins Jobbers/enhancement talent like Grossman and Rocca. Maybe there is some kind of problem with Nike

They now have 29 players listed including a lot of our young players and some lesser regulars. No star names. This is very interesting development. Nike must be having production issues. It is just too close to the beginning of the season to not have huge supplies for every team available to fans. Just ridiculous.

I wonder if Markthehomer knew about this development. He seems to have an inside track on everything jersey related. I wonder if he was sent any prototypes that he can review for us.

    From the link:

    Description:
The official Washington Redskins Pro Line NFL® jersey is manufactured on behalf of NFL Shop and is not manufactured by Nike®. The Pro Line NFL® jersey is only sold through NFL Shop. The Pro Line NFL® jersey is crafted with polyester premier mesh and designed with screen printed front and back numbers. The Nike® logo does not appear on this jersey.

    Features

Body: 100% 5-oz polyester premier mesh body
    Sleeves/Yoke/Side Panels: 100% 5-oz polyester premier dazzle
Collar: 100% 9-oz polyester rib knit
Engineered and constructed to replicate the game-day Pro Cut jersey
Screen printed player name and number
Screen printed team wordmarks where applicable, logos and sleeve details
NFL® patch sewn onto bottom of front collar
NFL® jock tag applied above left hem
    Decorated in the team colors
Machine wash cold, hang to dry
    Officially licensed
    Made in Honduras or Guatemala

    ....

Okay, if it's "Engineered and constructed to replicate the game-day Pro Cut jersey", first, let's define "replicate."

Here's what I found on the web:

    rep·li·cate/ˈrepliˌkāt/
    Verb:
Make an exact copy of; reproduce.

So, it that's true, why are the numbers screen printed?
Why are the letters screen printed?
Why is the 'REDSKINS" on the front screen printed?
    Why are the sleeves loose?

Hey, NFL Shop... if you want to sell me a jersey, fine. But don't lie to me.

I've felt this way for quite some time... The "Pro Line" jerseys look like Walmart quality to me and they're still $100.

"BRB I gotta order my $100 Adam Gettis jersey before they sell out," said no one ever.

Wow 100 for a replica that may lesser quality than the older Reebok jersey's is insane.

The Nike replicas are WAY nicer than the Reebok replicas were. Now I have no idea what this Pro Line is, but my Nike replica is almost as nice as the Reebok authentics, minus the screen printing. The Nike one feels alot better than the cheap Reebok one with the holes ans terrible screen printing that would fade away.

Yep, I've seen all 3 versions of Nike's jersey and forgive me for not know th proper name.

    "Cheapest"
fits very nice and I love how the numbers on the sleeves aren't extremely long and baggy. I normally wear an XL sz shirt and the Nike Jersey XL fits perfect. With the numbers sitting right in the middle of the chest. Not like the reebok where I had to order a L and the numbers hung very low.

    "Middle Price"
This one actually feels like the the Reebok authentic. Thick jersey material and sewn on letters and numbers. And the same details as above with placement of numbers. Personal favorite.

    "Most Expensive"
IMO, I didn't like it. Shoulders sat very high (I guess for the players pads) and the material feels very restrictive. I didn't feel comfortable wearing the jersey.

I personally will be buying the middle jersey. If you are not sure of what size to get, get your t shirt size or if you want a little more room, go one size up.

So....I am faced with quite the dilemma...

I walked into a particular discount store down here today and what do I find? A wall of redskins jerseys for sale. Of course, they are reebok and others, but then I looked closer and came across a couple surprises.

Behind the Orakpo, I find 2 Doug Williams and 1 Charles Mann Mitchell and Ness jerseys....for only $59.99 each. Based on where I found them, I believe them to be authentic and not knock-offs. What to do.... These are all white jerseys and the screenprinting is much heavier than the more recent Reebok versions which I have a couple of. Seriously debating on going back and buying both, but wanted to see what you guys thought? I of course remember both players fondly, but have to get around the wife for buying yet another jersey.... For me, these would go straight to wall.... oh..and Mark the Homer....any ideas what these run typically costwise? I've looked online and have only come across the burgundy versions which are around $200+

To buy or not to buy.....that is the question (and if I buy I sit in the doghouse for quite some time!)

Buy them, I assume you are talking about T.J Maxx? They have been getting Mitchell and Ness for a while now. i stop by marshalls, ross, etc. whenever nearby to check what they have in. Just check it over to make sure it is not irregular. Even though they are super cheap, they are legit. Also check the hat sections, they get a lot of 5950 new era's as well.
