Dude, thats what I do. I started off just eating at Chipotle because its got everything necessary for a meal. Now, to save money, I'm buying lean chicken breasts over at BJ's, grilling them the day before, and bringing in tupperware the next day. For something to eat on the side I usually have 1/2 cup of rice and green beans or peas. Its cheap and tastes good. (You could also just marry a Middle Eastern girl, I did and her mom won't let me leave the house without food that could feed 10 people)

You won't be stuffing yourself all day if you're full! Will you?

Salads- create your own, any type of sandwiches rock, hot pockets was an excellent call by whoever suggested it, Lean Cuisine is fantastic!, left overs from dinner is another fabulous call.

As far as munchies, I recommend any fruit or vegetables, but also Rice Cakes. It's so light and you can munch on them any times because its practically like munching on air. Yogurt isnt bad too if you have a fridge.

wow. I hardly ever buy my lunch except when going out with a big group of co-workers. I go to work to make $$ not pay $$.

What I do is take my favorite meals and scale them down. Ideally lunch should be your biggest meal of the day anyways, it works for me since i dont eat big dinners.

For example: I love chipotle burrito bowls so I grill my own chicken make my own rice a few vegetables and some salsa ... and you have your own.

I also will tend to make extras when I do have a big dinner for lunch the next day (spaghetti, chicken dishes etc.)

As for snacks you cannot go wrong w/apples and peanut butter, any fruit, some granola bars.
Hail Skins .... whether we win or lose ... I have faith in this team.

I really like turkey sammiches.. just bread and turkey, nothing else except maybe lettuce once in a while. Oddly delicious.

I usually round it off with some pretzels and yogurt. I never get tired of it. strange

The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."

Its really hard to go from eating out everyday to packing, but you can do it if I can. I now go to the grocery store every sunday night (the start of the sales) and spend about $35 bucks for the week. This includes breakfast and lunch at work. My company has a huge kitchen with a refrigerator and supplies knives, forks, spoons, plates etc..(some employers may not provide all this).

This allows me to make my breakfast in the morning that usually includes: eggs, wheat toast, apple slices, cottage cheese, and turkey sausage. For lunch my choices are tuna, boca burgers, soup, teriyaki chicken, salad and I always load up on frozen vegetables and lots of fruit and yogurt. I also buy the 40 calorie fudge bars for dessert. I always eat very healthy and I do save money bc I am getting two hearty meals for $35 a week. I always allow myself one day to splurge though. You just have to. Its hard to be that disciplined all the time.

Basically: I would recommend getting a lot of frozen and pantry items. You can get spinach, peas, fruit, tuna, 100 calorie packs, apple sauce. Just set aside some time and its worth it. If you are unable to do all that cook a bigger dinner and set a side some food for tomorrows lunch every night. Good luck with everything.

Turkey is good. You use your own sliced turkey or deli slices? My wife needs to roast me a turkey breast for sandwiches and salad!

Hot pockets are horrible for you.........Try reading the nutrition value on the back and you might think twice...Same for most TV dinners. Go for turkey or tuna sandwich with crackers and fruit.........Now if u can get away with it in your office eat sardines. Very good for you and have some beef jerky for snack.

Some stores offer very decent microwaveable meals that are a good lunch size, such as Trader Joes and they run about $2.50.
