He was a hell of a college QB. I think once he had some problems throwing INT's, he lost his confidence and couldn't recover.

It didn't help that he had so little talent around him. One of the biggest things that never gets talked about is how his long and stupid training camp hold-out DESTROYED any chance of him having "good-will" with Redskins fans. Fans resented Shuler for his long hold-out, and instead of having a honeymoon period with the fans (where they would forgive his rookie QB mistakes), he was booed often and loudly. Along with this, he suffered ankle and foot injuries that he had trouble healing from.
On a side note, I actually remember a Redskin team that BEAT Dallas in Dallas all the while having QB HEATH SHULER playing for the Skins....

Heath Shuler had all the physical tools but unfortunately he couldn't read a defense to save his life.

Norv is a mealy-mouthed chump who couldn't motivate a swimmer to outswim a shark. It's a shame that the mediots keep getting him jobs. He'll wreck San Diego with mediocrity. His seven years here were a complete waste for this franchise. Firing him is the one thing Danny did that made him (Danny) look like a real fan.

Norv Turner is the Chargers equivilent of Barry Switzer. He inherited a team that was already built before he got there. Please. It's just a matter of time before he screws up that team as well.
