Default Dave McKenna on the Dan Snyder Polls

Dave McKenna e-mailed a copy of his piece on my poll in this forum and the Post poll on Dan Snyder's approval rating.

Poll Results: Dan Snyder Goes Both Ways

Voting has slowed to almost nothingness in two Dan Snyder popularity polls, so City Desk is ready to declare that Snyder is beloved. And hated.

On the message board Snyder owns,extremeskins.com, members were asked to approve or disapprove of his “handling of the Redskins over the past few months.”

The balloting was made public, so everybody could see who voted yay or nay. Since Snyder’s moderators have a habit of berating his critics, or worse, that surely skewed voting.

Even so, and forgetting the home field advantage and the bogusly limited scope of the polling question — what can an owner do in May and June? — Snyder did very well: As of this morning, he was getting an 85 percent favorable rating from extremeskins.com.

Snyder hasn’t fared so great outside his house. Sports blogging icon and my regular Friday morning date Dan Steinberg also ran a Snyder poll on his DC Sports Bog.

There, the vote was private, and voters were asked simply to “Approve” or “Disapprove” of Snyder.

At last check, Bad Snyder was pounding Good Snyder 57-42.

It could have been worse. Snyder was really getting crushed early in the Post’s polling. But a windfall of positivity came into the Bog after Art Mills, the enforcer/propagandist at extremeskins.com, started a thread on Snyder’s site directing members to go vote.

Last time we talked, Mills, who is equal parts writing talent and full-of-crapness, told me he was paid by the team to write. Yet, far as I can tell, he won’t divulge being on the Redskins payroll to his flock at extremeskins.com.

    Just tell ‘em, Art.
Why do these guys want Snyder to be known as a failure so bad lol. There is a complete difference in both polls. One is approval rating in last few months and the other is approval of owner all together. To me it seems he's going in a completely different direction then normal so it's obvious he's realized his ways of the past weren't working. Heres to Snyder hopefully going in the right direction from now on . I approve of Dan Snyder "right now"....thats what matters imo

What worthless writing. Seriously, when do the mods berate and hound people into liking Snyder?

Newsflash Dave. This place is called extremeskins.com. We are probably the most rabid Redskins fans in the universe, thusly we tend to like what our team does. And people like "SnyderMustGo" still post here and post freely without getting "berated"

    You sir, are a loser

    Thanks for posting Chris

Rumor has it Om was originally paid by the word but resigned his commission when they maxed him out at $100.

As for Art, c'mon bro, put your business in the street. Are you or aren't you? "Enquiring" minds like McKenna want to know.
    Is THIS sig small enough?

Funny title, even if didn't make to come up with it.

Anyways, there is a very, very simple way to prove McKenna wrong about his attitude that ES is pro-Snyder, and the mods enforce it to be that way. I'm about to go make a new poll, in which the same question will be asked that Steinberg asked. IMO, the poll results will be about the same as Steinberg's, where 55-60 disapprove, and 40-45 approve.

Too bad there wasn't any mention of the JLC poll. And even if the results do mirror the results of Steinberg's poll, it won't stop McKenna. However, it will give irrefutable proof that ES is NOT a Snyder propaganda machine.

Yeah, it's not going to change the dudes tone. That's how those little papers operate. With hate. There is one here in Seattle called the stranger. Even if they liked something they find a way to bash it. It's called being a crappy-journalist-and-not-being-able-to-get-a-real-gig-because-you-can't-seperate-fact-from-personal-feelings.

Ha, this guy is a jackass. There is always a ton of Snyder bashing going on so why they said the voting was skewed because it was on this website is stupid. Some of the most critical people of the Redskins organization post in on this board. Saying it is skewed is just idiotic.

The problem with this is that, no matter what the results of this poll are, the naysayers are going to say that people only voted this way because you told them to.

We've just gotta accept that people outside extremeskins hate extremeskins because they don't understand how it works here. I'm willing to live with that cause I don't even read city paper or washingtonpost unless bubba or jimmijo posts an article from their site. Really these guys should be thankful that we give them an audience, but thats the way life is, people aint grateful any more.
