So I just moved into a new apartment about a week ago in Southern Maryland near the naval air station. It's all hard floor, mostly ceramic tile throughout with linoleum tile in the kitchen/bathroom.
My landlord had the place sprayed for bugs shortly before I moved in, and as a result I have been coming across dead critters throughout, not too many but they are around. No big deal.
But after a week I still see some bugs walking around on the floors. I almost rarely see them on the walls or on furniture (except once on my dresser). But its at the point where I won't walk in a room without turning a light on and scanning the floor so as to not step on anything. Bugs disgust me so much.
I've found two types of bugs. I think one kind are silverfish, and nothing in the apartment seems damp, nor are they hanging around in a damp room like the bathroom. I've probably only seen two or three of them since I moved in. The other is like a light to dark brown bug, with many legs... possibly a pillbug. I come across a few of these every day. I picked one up last night in a napkin and underneath it had a bunch of little babies. Not good.
Anyone in the area know what I'm talking about? I know silverfish are common just about anywhere but what about these pillbug-lookin things? I'm going to contact the landlord tonight and let him know about the problem, but they are still around after maybe two weeks of the most recent spraying and I just don't have the faith in that stuff.. Suggestions on what I can do or what to buy to help out with this?
