Naked man hit by train, arrested

A young Stafford man was arrested last night in connection with an incident during which he was running around naked and got hit by a slow-moving train, police said.

Sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy said the subsequent investigation revealed that the 18-year-old suspect had eaten magic mushrooms prior to the bizarre incident.

Kennedy said police were called at 7:30 a.m. Saturday by a woman who’d seen a young man running completely naked on Camden Drive in Clearview Heights subdivision.

She said the man was yelling at himself when he looked at her and asked if she was OK. The woman responded that she was, then asked if the suspect was OK, Kennedy said.

The suspect then began screaming and cursing at the woman, who ran into her home and called the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Jason Hierwarter responded and found several residents who had seen the naked display. But deputies were unable to immediately find the man.

About 30 minutes later, Kennedy said, police were notified that a CSX train had struck a naked man in the area of Butler and Cool Springs roads.

The train conductor told police that the trains were traveling about 9 mph when he saw the man near the tracks.

After he sounded the horn to warn the man, he got on the tracks and walked directly toward the oncoming train, police said.

The conductor put on the brakes, but couldn’t stop before hitting the man, who disappeared from view following the contact.

The conductor found the man sitting under the third car of the train convoy. He ran off before deputies and medical workers arrived.

Deputy Shawn Lindsay found the suspect a short time later and got into an altercation with him. He broke free after striking a deputy and ran into the woods screaming and cursing.

Naked man accused of threatening to kill cops

A naked Lower Southampton man stood in his front yard threatening to kill five police officers Wednesday, police said. He is now in Bucks County prison in lieu of $1 million cash bail.

Christopher Black, 48, of Dolton Road, was charged with five counts each of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and one count of open lewdness in connection with the incident.

Naked man subdued with Taser on I-35 near Forest Lake

Police: He 'begged' them to shoot him; possible narcotics found with clothes

A naked man running into traffic on Interstate 35 near Forest Lake had to be subdued with a Taser on Thursday, police said.

Forest Lake police were called at 5:42 p.m. on a report of someone yelling and taking off his clothes in the median of the interstate, just north of the I-35E/I-35W split.

When an officer arrived, "The male turned to him and started running at full speed, and yelling and screaming at the top of his voice," Sgt. Rick Peterson said.

The officer ordered the 23-year-old Forest Lake man to stop, but he continued to charge, Peterson said. After repeated warnings, including cautions that a Taser stun gun could be used, the officer deployed the device, hitting the male in the chest and abdomen.

Even after he was handcuffed and detained, the man continued to yell. He was in an "excited delirium state" and appeared to be under the influence of drugs, Peterson said.

"He yelled how he had killed God, how he was God, that he was the devil. He begged for officers to shoot him and said he had the code to heaven," Peterson said.

Naked man atop Fort Worth billboard comes down

FORT WORTH -- A looming rain storm late Monday afternoon helped police negotiators do what had eluded them for nearly four hours: coax a naked man from atop a billboard just west of the downtown area.

Officers at about 3:30 p.m. told the man they called James, who appeared to be in his early 20s, that rain was coming.

As clouds darkened overhead, the man, who had alternately trudged or crawled across the top of the billboard, finally slid down the structure's ladder.

Police handcuffed the man, whose full name was not immediately available, and put a pair of black shorts on him. Then they drove away with him in a patrol car.

About 30 minutes later, fierce winds and rain blanketed downtown.

The man's stepfather told reporters: "We're grateful to the police negotiators and the power of prayer."

Police had talked with the man for hours at the two-sided billboard on West Seventh Street, across from Trinity Park. He repeatedly threatened to jump.



The incident began about 11 a.m. and caused a traffic jam for drivers trying to enter downtown from the west or drive east toward the Montgomery Plaza Shopping Center.

It was unclear what had agitated the man to scale the billboard in the nude.

Also unclear was how he reached the top. The bottom of the ladder, which leads to a catwalk at the bottom of the billboard, was suspended about 12 feet from the ground.

Naked woman in 'yoga protest' at Parliament

A naked woman stopped traffic near the Houses of Parliament yesterday, by clambering on to a black cab for a five-minute ‘yoga protest’.

She yelled ‘Troops out of Afghanistan’, as the cabbie tried to shift her and tourists looked on.

Police finally managed to move the woman.

Man arrested after allegedly walking naked through streets

THIBODAUX — A Thibodaux man who abandoned his vehicle and began walking the streets naked was arrested early this morning, Thibodaux Police said.

Shafiq Mohamed, 26, 197 Cehan Court, was charged with obscenity after police responded to a complaint on the 2210 block of Audubon Avenue around 2 this morning.

There, police found a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. Mohamed was located further up the block wearing no clothes, police said.

When approached by police, Mohamed allegedly told the officers that "America raped" him and God told him to walk the streets naked to save his soul.

Naked man runs through Newburgh streets, subdued after being Tasered four times

CITY OF NEWBURGH - City police got the call just before midnight Wednesday: a man wearing nothing but a pair of sneakers was running down Broadway, causing vehicles to swerve out of his way.

When cops arrived and ordered the man to stop, they say he refused. When one cop took out his Taser, the man began running toward them, yelling, "Give it to me!"

He was hit with the Taser once and fell to the ground, but jumped to his feet as officers moved in, police said. He was Tasered again, but then began fighting with cops as they tried to handcuff him. They Tasered him a third time, but the man still resisted; at one point, police said he began lifting four cops off the ground. Cops were finally able to take him into custody after Tasering him a fourth time.

Police: Naked man 'yelling he was Jesus' caused I-95 accident

A naked man "yelling that he was Jesus" was the catalyst for a five-vehicle accident on I-95 Northbound near exit 16 early Saturday morning that injured three people, mangled a tandem tractor-trailer truck and slowed traffic to a crawl for nearly six hours, according to Darien Police Sgt. Jeremiah P. Marron Jr.

Marron said Darien Police responded to a call regarding a nude male causing a disturbance on I-95 north at exit 14. When police arrived, they saw the man hop into a silver car. With assistance from Norwalk and State Police, Darien officers were able to pull the car over near exit 16.

West Valley cops chase down, use Taser on nude woman

Two car chases, a totaled police cruiser and an extended foot pursuit of a naked woman through sagebrush finally ended with a Taser being used to subdue her.

No, it was not a typical call for the West Valley Police Department.

“A man was outside his vehicle on [State Road] 111 putting up home business signs when this woman pulled up next to him, got out of her vehicle, naked, and stole his car and drove off,” said West Valley City police Capt. Tom McLachlan.

Initially, the report was filed with police in neighboring West Jordan at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The man called 911, hopped behind the wheel of the woman’s abandoned car and gave chase, northbound on State Road 111 and into West Valley City. She left the highway and veered onto a dirt road leading into a field owned by Alliant Technologies, got stuck and then fled on foot into the brush.

West Valley police, assisted by Alliant security, scoured the rugged sagebrush and grasslands for their suspect, described as 5-foot-5, 120 to 130 pounds, thin and with reddish-brown hair.

“Of course, there was no clothing description available,” McLachlan said.

A West Valley officer soon spotted the woman hiding behind a bush, and as he approached, a second officer arrived in his squad car. She refused to surrender, and as the officers moved in she broke away — and hopped behind the wheel of the cruiser, speeding away in a cloud of dust and dragging the officers a short distance before they let go.

Neither officer was seriously hurt and the chase resumed, with the woman driving the police car through a fence gate and then hitting a dirt berm when she missed a curve. “She was airborne about 50 feet before crashing into another berm,” McLachlan said.

The woman, slightly bloodied, fled the ruined squad car and streaked into the weeds again, chased on foot by the two officers.

When she tried to double back toward the highway, at one point wriggling through a barbed wire fence, other officers were waiting for her.

“She was not obeying commands to stop, cease and desist, anything,” McLachlan said, adding an officer finally stunned her with his Taser when the woman appeared to be making another break.

Police: Man was naked, with stolen cheese

DOWNTOWN – The police report on Darrell Bess was succinct.

Clothing description: Naked.

Offenses: Public indecency, theft, carrying a concealed weapon.

According to police and court records, Bess, 52, was found unclothed standing at the men’s room sink in the Cincinnati Public Library by police at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. When they searched Bess’ bag, police said they found a 4-pound chunk of cheese allegedly stolen from Silverglade's Cheese & Sausage In Findlay Market.

He also had two knives and some DVDs that belonged to the Vine Street library branch.

Naked man hospitalized after drinking game leads to prosthetic leg being set aflame (5 p.m.)

LAS CRUCES - A 47-year-old Dona Ana County man is in a Texas burn center after a drinking game left him nude on the side of the highway with his prosthetic leg in flames.

Sheriff's deputies learned that the victim and friends were drinking Monday and had made a bet that whoever drank the least would be set on fire, according to a news release.

The victim told investigators that since he drank only six beers, the least amount, he agreed to let his friends set him on fire.

The victim, who has a prosthetic left leg made of plastic, said his friends set his leg on fire, which spread to his buttocks and lower back area, causing severe burns.

Not being able to stand the pain, the victim disrobed. His friends then decided to take him to the hospital but became "nervous and dropped the victim off" on U.S. 70, the release said.

Witnesses reported seeing an individual walking on a U.S. 70 bridge with his leg on fire. Another witness reported that the victim was naked, while other witnesses reported that the victim was struck by two cars and even attempted to jump into passing vehicles as well into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer.

Naked Intruder Found Inside South Strabane Home

SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― A 29-year-old Washington County man faces charges of burglary and forced entry after South Strabane police say he broke into a private residence on Sanitarium Road.

Authorities said after the break-in things really got bizarre. Anthony Kushner took his clothes off, showered, ate food out of the refrigerator and then he fell asleep naked on a couch.

The woman who lives there came home and noticed that her front window was open and saw Kushner in the house. She called her husband and 911.

Kushner told police that he didn't remember anything after being at a bar earlier the same night.

Oklahoma City man returns to work to find naked man at his desk

Curtis John Halberstadt, 57, was arrested on complaints of indecent exposure and public indecency.

An Oklahoma City man found an unwelcome guest at his desk when he returned from lunch last week.

The worker found a naked man sitting at his desk Thursday and viewing pornography on his computer, according to an Oklahoma City police report released today.

The employee of the business in the 3900 block of NW 10 did not know the intruder seated at his desk and told police the man didn't work there. He asked the man what he was doing there, and the man told him he was "cleaning and trying to make some money," the report stated.
