Naked woman found at police station says spirits directed her there

A woman found standing naked outside the Gurnee Police Station told police that spirits told her to take her clothes off and walk to the police department, according to an official.

The 52-year-old local woman showed up at the department on O’Plaine Road at about 7:30 a.m. on May 23, said Gurnee Police Cmdr. Jay Patrick. Three officers found her standing at the southwest corner of the building.

The woman allegedly told the officer she was “awakened by the spirits in her apartment” and that they told her to remove her clothes before proceeding to the police facility, Patrick said.

One of the officers wrapped the woman in a blanket.

Police: Naked man rammed condo with dump truck

SOUTH BERWICK — A Lovell man faces numerous charges after allegedly driving a dump truck into a South Berwick home Wednesday night while naked then picking a fight with the resident.

Eli T. Hutchins, 24, was arrested by South Berwick police and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, two counts of assault and aggravated criminal mischief. Police say he drove his 1994 Ford one-ton dump truck over a series of lawns and into the front of 21 Woodland Hills.

Hutchins had been at a party at another unit in the condominium complex and was involved in a confrontation there before getting behind the wheel just before 11 p.m. That confrontation led to one of the assault charges.

Hutchins' truck smashed a gaping hole through an exterior wall of the single-story apartment, crashing into the kitchen.

The resident and his 7-year-old son were sleeping in a nearby bedroom.

"The front of the truck came to rest less than 15 feet from the bed," South Berwiick Police Chief Dana Lajoie said. "It went through the kitchen and damaged the bedroom wall."

Police say Hutchins immediately attacked the resident, whose name was not released. The resident responded by hitting Hutchins twice in the head with a hammer, police said.

A woman walking naked down Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh this morning has been taken into custody by police, given a set of clothes and is being taken to a mental facility, police said.

The woman, wearing nothing but a pair of sandals, was spotted by police about 10 a.m., and quickly removed from the busy downtown thoroughfare, police watch commander Lt. Robert Strickland said.

Spanish city to fine those who go naked in public

Barcelona, May 30 (IANS/EFE) Police in the northeastern Spanish city of Barcelona will fine people who go out in public naked or semi-nude.

The fines range from 120 to 500 euros ($170 to $700) and will be imposed on people who refuse to adhere to the generally acceptable minimum public dressing standards.

Nude sprinter shocks motorists

A man was detained by police in Changchun, Jilin Province after running stark naked for 27 minutes down a busy street on the afternoon of May 24.

Witnesses said the man, who is in his mid-20s, appeared at an intersection wearing a pair of white short pants, white shoes and socks, but no shirt, and began running.

Over the course of the next few minutes, he gradually stripped off the shoes, socks and underpants. Onlookers reported his gaze was "fixed into the distance" and that no amount of shouting or waving could distract him.

A woman surnamed Guo said she'd just picked up her son from school when the naked runner passed by. "I had to shield my son from that terrible sight!" she said.

Nude man, swearing about bears, arrested in Millcreek Canyon

Visitors at the Terraces Picnic Area in Millcreek Canyon saw more than a scenic landscape on Sunday when authorities arrested two men, including one suspect who allegedly wandered around picnic sites with his pants down to his ankles while yelling obscenities.

Rangers for the U.S. Forest Service arrived in the picnic area after witnesses called to report a partially nude man, who at one point shouted out concerns about “f------ bears,” according to charges filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court.

Doulgas Bittle, 29, and his friend, Andrew Nunlist-Young, also 29, were both arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor by officers who located them in the canyon.

Rangers and two officers from the Unified Police Department arrived at the Terraces Picnic Area, but didn’t immediately spot the men.

Officers found Nunlist-Young wandering in the Porter Fork homes area, without a shirt in 38-degree weather. Nunlist-Young was allegedly behaving “lost and incoherent,” according to charges. Nunlist-Young told officers that he was “tripping off of psilocybin mushrooms,” and that he didn’t know where his friend, Bittle, was, according to charges.

Motorist gets naked, dies in crash

A Texas man died Monday after he crashed his SUV into a tree, but not before he T-boned a car then got on top of his SUV and stripped naked, witnesses say.

At 8 p.m., Richard L. Roundtree crashed his SUV into another vehicle with three occupants, Dallas police told the Dallas Morning News. He then climbed on the roof of his SUV and took off his clothes, witnesses said. He then got back in the SUV, drove away, lost control and hit a tree.

Police said the Carrollton, Tex., man was declared dead at the scene.

The three people involved in the first crash were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Ship man jailed after naked trip to Sheetz

A Shippensburg man landed in Cumberland County Prison Tuesday after a naked early-morning excursion.

Police in Shippensburg say Brett Tyler Schatte, 21, walked into the Sheetz convenience store wearing no clothing around 2:49 a.m. Schatte reportedly ate a Slim Jim and a bag of chips and downed a bottle of Gatorade, then accosted a female customer.

According to police, Schatte approached a 20-year-old woman, pulled up her shirt and tried to pull down her skirt before the woman’s boyfriend intervened and escorted Schatte outside.

According to arrest papers, Schatte grabbed a jug of windshield washer fluid outside the store and threw it at the woman’s rescuer, then fled north on North Queen Street.

I went to Shippensburg. For that Sheetz, the story sounds about right.

Deputies find man who allegedly stole computer before getting naked

BROWNSVILLE — A man who allegedly went into a house and stole a laptop computer Friday night got caught with his pants down.

An Ogle Road resident called 911 to report a man entered her house, grabbed her daughter's laptop and ran out.

Deputies arrived and heard somebody tramping through the woods away from the house. They hollered at him to come out or they would send a dog in after him. He asked if he could put his clothes on first. They said no. He walked out of the brush wearing just a baseball cap and boots.

The 38-year-old man eventually confessed that the computer was about 100 yards into the woods, with his clothes. He said he had been walking down the road when he saw a girl in a window waving for him to come in, like she wanted him sexually. When he went in the house, she was gone. He said taking the laptop was just a joke and that he was going to return it.

He blamed alcohol for his actions, claiming he had "a buzz on" and was in the middle of a relapse.

Naked man arrested for indecent exposure crimes in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – A registered sex offender who exposed himself to police officers Sunday morning is a suspect in a series of indecent exposure crimes in downtown Scottsdale.

At about 1:30 a.m., undercover officers noticed a man naked from the waist down near a vehicle in downtown Scottsdale. The officers saw him run from his truck and eventually take his shirt off, leaving him wearing only shoes.

Officers chased him on foot and caught him near Fifth Avenue and Goldwater Boulevard. He resisted arrested and was forcibly taken into custody.

The man was identified as John G. Szakin, 53. Police said he matched the description of a suspect who has exposed himself to females in downtown Scottsdale at least 15 times over the past 10 months.

During the incidents, Szakin was reported to be completely naked walking or running on the streets of the downtown area during the early mornings. During some of the incidents, he was seen masturbating in front of female victims.

Naked Wausau man arrested after defecating in woman's garage

A drunken, naked Wausau man was arrested late Monday after he entered a neighbor’s garage and defecated on the floor, according to the Wausau Police Department.

Police were called at 10:30 p.m. for a report of a naked man inside a woman’s garage in the 1400 block of Cherry Street. The woman told police she heard the door between her garage and home open and slam shut and her dog barking, Wausau Police Lt. Mark Pankow said this morning. The woman then looked into the garage and saw the man, he said.

Officers identified the man as Thomas O’Neil, 47, who lives nearby. O’Neil later was apologetic to officers, and said he thought he was at his home, police said. O’Neil had a blood alcohol level 0.37 percent, or more than four times the legal limit for driving, Pankow said.

Naked theatre group arrested

Street theatre actors were torn off a strip by police after they mingled naked with crowds at a music festival.

The Deuxime Groupe D'intervention performers had been invited from France to take part in Poland's Malta Festival in Poznan.

But the group, whose motto is 'Wake Up Your Sensitive Parts, ignored the stage and stripped naked as they mingled with festival-goers waiting for bands like Portishead and Fleet Foxes to start playing.

Police threw the entire cast in the cells on public indecency charges after shocked concert goers dialed 999.

Vacaville motel clerk calms gun-toting nude woman

VACAVILLE -- Vacaville police are thanking a quick-thinking motel clerk who persuaded a nude woman who walked into the lobby early Sunday morning to put down her loaded gun and surrender.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., motel guest Patricia Wright of Fairfield, 32, walked into the lobby of the Super 8 motel on Allison Court with a loaded semi-automatic gun, according to Sgt. Mark Donaldson.

Police said Wright brandished the gun at the clerk and stated she was afraid of her male companion staying with her at the motel. She also admitted to ingesting marijuana and ecstasy, according to Sgt. Rick Elm.

Police set up a perimeter around the motel and spoke on the phone with both the clerk and Wright. The clerk was able to calm the woman down and convince her to lay down her weapon and surrender to police. The clerk put the gun in a safe place.

Naked woman pulled from pipe

WATERVILLE -- Waterville Police Chief Joseph Massey said police do not know why a naked, crying woman crawled into a sewer pipe emerging from a cliff 25 feet above the Kennebec River on Sunday morning.

Massey said the 24-year-old Clinton woman was transported to MaineGeneral Medical Center Thayer Campus after Waterville Fire Department rescue personnel rappelled 10 feet down a cliff and pulled her from the pipe emptying into the river.

"We don't know why she was down there," said Massey about the woman he described as incoherent.

Massey said he did not know if the woman had ingested a new synthetic hallucinogenic drug known as bath salts; he did say her behavior was indicative of a person high on the new synthetic hallucinogenic drug.

"It was an unusual call. People don't run around naked in the daytime. The officers in the fire department did a great job getting to her."

Kyle Horning busted for indecent exposure and burglary after walking in naked on 10-year-old

The recent encounter involving a ten-year-old girl and her seven-year-old cousin was wrong in two significant ways.

It took place in a house where Horning doesn't live. And he was naked at the time.

According to the statement of probable cause, on view in its entirety below, the girl and her cousin were sitting in their house on North Perry Street when a man later ID'd as Horning, age 26, walked in uninvited and unclothed. He then approached the girl and attempted to grab her.

At that point, the girl did the obvious: She screamed. And fortunately, her grandfather was nearby. He raced into the room and chased Horning out of the house, where he climbed into his Nissan extended-cab pickup and drove away.

Wonder where he kept his keys.

Pataskala police arrest naked man hitting car with tire iron

PATASKALA — Police discovered a naked man striking his own vehicle with a tire iron early Tuesday morning in a side parking lot at Licking Heights High School.

An employee at the school, located at 4000 Mink St., reported a man without clothes was hitting his Chevrolet Lumina just after 6 a.m., according to a Pataskala police incident report.

When police arrived around 6:15 a.m., they discovered the 39-year-old man had smashed the Lumina’s windows. They also discovered he had thrown his belongings, including clothes and various car parts, across the parking lot, said Sgt. Gary Smith, of the Pataskala Division of Police.
