Redskins FOX: 10 possible destinations for Favre- Redskins

    Washington Redskins?

As evidenced by his team's lack of splashy free-agent moves this off-season, Daniel Snyder has stopped approaching team ownership like fantasy football. But the possibility of landing Favre could prove too irresistible, even if Washington would have to clear significant cap space to make a deal work. The Redskins have oodles of offensive talent (when healthy) but no sure bet to guide it.

Trade possibility: The Redskins had fewer draft choices (24) than any franchise picking between 2003 and 2007, so Washington shouldn't be adverse to dealing some more. This would appeal to a Packers team that isn't a heavy player in free agency.

Yeah.....this is about to heat up.

Not sure if you saw the Vegas thread just started...but someone is laying some $$ in a pretty crappy economy that Favre may be coming to DC.

This is like if enough people say it then maybe it will be true.

Getting Favre would be counter productive to what we're trying to do. It would strap us cap-wise and hinder the growth of Campbell. Favre can be great during the regular season, but he's not the best guy to have tossing the rock around in the playoffs. Too reckless. While he may get us to the playoffs, I doubt he'd be able to get us to the Super Bowl. So you get him for one or two years and then you're back to square one with the QB situation.

I don't want him here and I hope our FO feels the same way. No offense to Favre.

Like I said in yours, McD, this whole thing is very interesting. No one viewing and/or posting on this site has any clue how it will play out, in all likelihood. Yet here we sit, with baited breath, posting and posting our asses off - wondering which way the wind is blowing. It's fun, I think...

Be even more fun if BLF doesn't end up in a 'Skins jersey this year, if you ask me.

Unless/until we do something stupid to prove otherwise, I choose to believe that part of Coach Gibbs' lasting legacy this time will be a greater respect for the draft and greater skepticism regarding aging stars. Besides, Favre is going to have to do a lot more damage to his reputation in GB before their front office will let him wear another uniform.

The Skins are mentioned almost every time something like this goes on. I have just learned to ignore it.

Anything involving trading picks, signing older veterans, big names, or big money is related to us somehow.

It's not worth the time thinking about.

I keep saying to myself, over and over and over again: Training camp less than one week, training camp less than one week, training camp less than one week.

He's not coming here. Get over it. Get behind the team that is here.
There appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it's not a train.

I guarantee 100% that he does not come to the Redskins.

After reading through the fifth Brett Favre thread I'm wondering why I was banned from posting for supposedly starting a duplicate thread.

In any event I'd sign him for vet minimum plus incentives.

That is because of the legacy that Daniel Snyder set forth when he first became the owner. I don't think there is a snowball chance in hell that Brett Faggot is coming to us. We learned that because you have a big name doesn't mean that you will live up to your legacy. Example: Deion Sanders. He needs to just retire and let football go. Go hunting or something. LOL

He's due about 12 million this year. Vet minimum? Yeah, right......
